CELTIC duo James Forrest and Greg Taylor are OUT of Scotland’s squad for the Nations League clashes against Poland at Hampden tomorrow night and Portugal in Lisbon on Sunday.
Both sustained knocks in the champions’ 3-0 win over Philippe Clement’s Ibrox side at Parkhead on Sunday.
Forrest made his 500th appearance for the Hoops when he came on as a 72nd-minute substitute for Nicolas Kuhn as Brendan Rodgers’ men opened up a five-point gap on their Govan rivals after just four games.
OUT…Greg Taylor has withdrawn from Scotland’s squad to face Poland tomorrow night.
The withdrawals of the double-act leaves Anthony Ralston as the club’s only representative in Steve Clarke’s pool for the opening Euro ties.
Skipper Callum McGregor, who scored a scorching third goal against Jack Butland to add to the first-half efforts from Daizen Maeda and Kyogo Furuhashi, announced his decision to retire from international football following the Scots’ disappointing Euro 2024 displays in Germany in June.
Also out are Torino striker Che Adams and Kilmarnock goalkeeper Robby McCrorie.
Clarke has brought in Dundee keeper Jon McCracken plus outfield players Josh Doig and Connor Barron.
