Anyone consuming media coverage would think that the on-going investigation into the registration of Rangers (since renamed RFC 2012) players over the last decade or so was the most pressing matter within The Rangers (until recently, Sevco). I really don’t think so, although it is a useful rallying flag. The EBT issue is not short of drama but there are more immediate concerns.
More importantly, I hear The Rangers are still trying to raise the initial £10m Founding Investors capital. The Sevco Investor Presentation offered these Founding Investors two shares for each one purchased, “effectively doubling their contributions” ahead of a stock-market floatation later this year. My understanding is they hope to raise £20m at that floatation, without the two-for-one share incentive, in order to see them through several years in the Scottish Football League and at least four years without European income.
If/when this matter materialises, remember, in 1994 Fergus looked you in the eye and allowed you to buy into Celtic at exactly the same rate he and the other early investors did. This model worked, anyone hoping to emulate Fergus’ success would do well to offer fans the same terms.
The size of the total capital requirement may be as much of a disincentive to early investors as the terms currently on offer. If you put significant sums in now and the floatation fails to deliver enough cash to allow the company to continue trading, your investment is at risk. I hope Laurel and Hardy at Hampden haven’t deleted their Armageddon slides.
Even selling 40,000 adult season tickets for Ibrox at £268 each would bring in only £9m (ex-vat), so there is a good chance this company will burn cash reserves for some time, assuming they pay taxes, of course, which was apparently optional for some in the recent past.
Target closing date for Foundation Investors was 6 July with Q3 / Q4 slot for floatation on the AIM market, so we should be seeing a prospectus sometime soon if plans are back on track. If Charles Green pulls this off he deserves some sort of Businessman of the Year award.
Anyone who thinks the drama is over still hasn’t realised the enormity of the situation.

“I think i’ll come round and watch it dry
“It’s better than watching this dross”
Safe bet.
I’m going to scrape wallpaper for the next Scotland match.
hamiltontim
He is indeed. Levein will probably bring on Maloney though ;)
hamiltontim
I hope not!
HH!!
What’s the score wae the fitba?
Afternoon bhoys, hot and hun free.
Scotland deserve nothing with a line up like that.
Miller, what a joke that he can keep Rhodes out.
Naismith is a very lucky boy, done nada, keeping wee Maloney out.
I could go on.
I feel cheated, I am Scottish and yet I feel that I can’t support the country of my birth.
Tmwtl
I think I’d prefer it if he did, we can’t afford anymore injuries!!
Harry Potter’s boys, if they continue like this, couldn’t qualify for the pawnbroker’s Cup. Serbia are GASH; haven’t won in last 10 games. Scotland are WORSE. No chance in this group. None. First touch ~ absent. Adam belongs with the other donkeys on Blackpool beach. No ideas going forward ~ hopeless.
HH Gerry
Reading back the game looks crap, I’m glad I never watched it, international fitba is a nuisance when it interferes with watching the tic.
One team CSC
McLeish and McCann!!
A comedy duo – without the humour ‘tho!
A bit like Cannon and Ball!

Afternoon Bhoys,
Anyone know off hand how easy it would be to get a ticket for the Barca game at the Neu Camp? Lassie in work happens to be in Barcelona that week and is looking for a ticket home or away end.
Also, will Celtic be selling match tickets for the home game or is it the 3 match package? (thats for me lol)
hamiltontim
Agree entirely
Not a peep from the panel on Naismith + Hutton’s challenges so far
Can you imagine if that was the other way round?
Hope he stays on the bench. Them serbs dont like wee guys. Out and out thugs!!

The Exiled Tim
Are you surprised? The bulk of that side have been schooled in the Walter Smith Institute of hunnery and skulduggery.
Why why why am I watching this?
Simple answer to self : because you’re a football junkie.
Bu it can’t be that simple.
I didn’t even remember Ingurlaaaand were playing last night until I happened to catch sight of it in someone else’s house; by then it was 74mins. in and I was completely disinterested.
So….why am I watching this…..and….it’s crap.
Tmwtl
Got it on the laptop with the weans watching Disney for audio :-)
When Forest broke into the Celtic team he played on the left.
How Naismith keeps him out the team is incredible!!
Thank God I’m a Celtic supporter. Could you imagine watching this turgid rubbish from Levein being the highlight of your football season?
Watched the last 20 minutes of the half, literally nothing happened.
Sad to say but Scotland are going nowhere under Levein.
Big feck, naismith was anticipating the Serb blocking him, what a tube
Naismith was just trying to defend himself according to wee Eck – with a forearm smash!
HH!!
A quick 15 secs describing Naismith’s assault
No mention of Hutton’s 2 footed lunge
Ffs…..keep Forest away from thae industrial ankle grinders…
How is Big Craig Latrine and Scotland getting on
up_over_goal
Not at all surprised, dismayed !!!
I honestly don’t know why I am torturing myself.
Must be the masochist in me :>)
Hutton looks like an extra from one of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ films.

The Laddy McGeary – 15:55 on 8 September, 2012
All the CL ticket news is here:
http://www.celticfc.net/newsstory?item=3051
Season Ticket holders get a couple of opportunities to snap up the packages first. Not sure what will be left for the general sale. Always worth checking on here cos there’s sure to be a few people can’t make it to all the games.
S
Greetin’ Naetalent Naesmith just givin’ the sevcovians some familiar cheerleadin’ with his agricultural forearm smashes à la Saturday afternoon wrestling, which is where they’re trin’ to take Scottish football anyway. So, the wee rat might as well shw ’em how it was done when he was cretin-in-chief for the deid rankers. Whingin’ wee nyaff.
What did Everton ever sign him for?
Mind you, the Serbians aren’t much better.
Aaaah….it’s all a load of garbage.
Whinge over!
HH!
Bit of advice required. If you were having to meet some stranger off the internet to pass on a ticket what would be a suitable location? Somewhere public obviously – maybe Central Station cos they have a police station don’t they. What about Pitt Street?
S
only 7 mins into 2nd half qnd we look a beaten team lack guile, miller a headless chicken, hutton a laibility.
001 Bhoy, my youngest son Jonathan is gonnae be over in Melbourne in Dec, he has a mate over from Uk and they’re gonnae do the tourist thing, nearer the time he’ll want to know where he can watch the hoops.
