Anyone consuming media coverage would think that the on-going investigation into the registration of Rangers (since renamed RFC 2012) players over the last decade or so was the most pressing matter within The Rangers (until recently, Sevco). I really don’t think so, although it is a useful rallying flag. The EBT issue is not short of drama but there are more immediate concerns.
More importantly, I hear The Rangers are still trying to raise the initial £10m Founding Investors capital. The Sevco Investor Presentation offered these Founding Investors two shares for each one purchased, “effectively doubling their contributions” ahead of a stock-market floatation later this year. My understanding is they hope to raise £20m at that floatation, without the two-for-one share incentive, in order to see them through several years in the Scottish Football League and at least four years without European income.
If/when this matter materialises, remember, in 1994 Fergus looked you in the eye and allowed you to buy into Celtic at exactly the same rate he and the other early investors did. This model worked, anyone hoping to emulate Fergus’ success would do well to offer fans the same terms.
The size of the total capital requirement may be as much of a disincentive to early investors as the terms currently on offer. If you put significant sums in now and the floatation fails to deliver enough cash to allow the company to continue trading, your investment is at risk. I hope Laurel and Hardy at Hampden haven’t deleted their Armageddon slides.
Even selling 40,000 adult season tickets for Ibrox at £268 each would bring in only £9m (ex-vat), so there is a good chance this company will burn cash reserves for some time, assuming they pay taxes, of course, which was apparently optional for some in the recent past.
Target closing date for Foundation Investors was 6 July with Q3 / Q4 slot for floatation on the AIM market, so we should be seeing a prospectus sometime soon if plans are back on track. If Charles Green pulls this off he deserves some sort of Businessman of the Year award.
Anyone who thinks the drama is over still hasn’t realised the enormity of the situation.

My prediction is that if James Forrest is put on, he will end up with an injury.

A brilliant comment from Celticminded.com about Downfall being on sale in Glasgow.
“This must be what it’s like selling “The Origin of Species” in the American South.”
I actually laughed out loud at this one

Clive Lindsay on BBC online is to be commended for trying to shine this jobby I can tell yae!
The young Serbs have great composure in playing the ball out of defence. It is against a lone striker certainly but they look assured IMHO.
Please please don’t bring on Forrest
Miller misses a sitter.
Hutton and naismith are back playing in blue in scotland, old habits die hard.hh

It’s “Rocky” Rhodes Time….
Aw naw!
Wee Jamesy’s warming up!
HH!!
Never thought I’d see this day (mind you, I could say that about a lot of things now).
I was listening to this game on the radio in the kitchen for about 20 minutes during the first half. There are at least 2 players in the Scotland team who I wouldn’t recognise if I saw them and don’t even know what clubs they play for.
Probably the most damning thing is that I’m on the laptop now, world at my fingertips, and I can’t even be bothered finding out.
An 8 million pound striker on the bench, an 8 pound striker on the pitch !!!!!!!
Naismith put clean through by Caldwell. Misses sitter.
Ah FFS wee James coming on
Don’t get injured wee man!
Naismith and Miller…coo’s ass..banjo…barn door.
Forrest on!
Fingers crossed!
HH!!
FFS, Snodgrass for James, I truley despair, Snodgrass one of the better players among the garbage
Forrest on now. Just hope he doesn’t get injured.

“Naismith was just trying to defend himself according to wee Eck – with a forearm smash!”
The Yorkshire Ripper claimed he only carried a hammer because he was worried about catching SDTs.
Snodgrass off. Forrest on
Snodgrass has been Scotland’s best player. Adam should have been hooked
Levein is a total muppet. Snodgrass not happy with him
I thought Snodgrass was one of our better players. Surely, Miller and Naismith should have had an early bath. They should never have been on the park. Just hope James Forrest doesn’t get injured.
Quite obviously our manager has been got at. He couldn’t be that blinkered about players, surely?
For the love of god, get miller off and get a real striker on…..
.
Why Not hope James WINS the Game for Scotland and Ups His and Our Profile..

Just switch Sevconian Football Association football on thinking it was Murray’s semi (tut tut). Anyway, I see wee Forrest is on and Miller is still pash.

The fitba is taking a doing.
Brush strokes gone now. The door looks like it has a layer of condensation on it.
Interesting.
0-0 at home in vital WC qualifier, less tha 15min to go…
…Scotland coach Craig Levein goes with two men up front.
Wooooooh!!!
Audacious?
It’s football Jim but not as we know it.
SpockCSC
The sooner Levein goes the better…a disgrace of a manager
A £12m striker not included in the pool an £8m striker on for the last 10min a striker playing in the Candian league on for 80mins and some touted this tube as a possible Celtic manger
Levein is a twit.
Serbia are rotten and for most of the game he plays into their hands with one up front.
Little known fact: Ignjovski’s father was the Serbian billiard champion from 88-92.
