The overwhelming request from an international break is that our players return injury-free. Nir Bitton made an appearance as a second half substitute against Wales last night but left the field 18 minutes later, with a foot injury.
Nir is in the best form of his life and has carved himself out a deep-lying creative role in the Celtic team. Central midfield roles don’t come up for grabs too often. Two of our strongest players, Scott Brown and Stefan Johansen, compete for a small number of central midfield jerseys, although they are different types of players, so it’s important our Nir doesn’t spend too long on the side-lines.
Fraser Forster’s terrible knee injury last weekend was sickening. The big guy is one of the most professional players in the game and is absolutely dedicated to his development. His form in the FA Premier League this season has been sensational, recording more shutouts than any other keeper.
It’s a blow to Southampton too, who gave Celtic £10m for Fraser’s services seven months ago.

Bada bing ,
for sure but do we care for their thoughts. Think him and Izzy would be superb on left side
16 Roads
No but if we get to the cup final I’d imagine that it’ll be released in the week leading up to it.

Cowiebhoy, Just back from Edinburgh and saw your post, This link is her performing in the International final in Stuttgart. https://www,youtube,com/watch?v=RiWW5IH-gFk
We should have beaten the Poles on our second half performance. Group still wide open. Shy Given a spectator. Scotland should not fear Poland. Nice to see both sets of fans mingle in the stadium.

The top 2 from each of the 9 groups qualify automatically.
The best 3rd place team also qualifies.
The other 8 third placed nations enter a play-off round for the remaining 4 places.

Ah, thanks very much for that, Tom….HH
Oops, MON…my dyslexia kicking in… Or the bevy!
Ireland were lucky tonight. Poland came out in second half to protect their lead. Ireland battled hard and deserved their goal but why not such commitment in the first half?
16 Roads: agree with you from earlier, Ronny’s style has made Celtic so much more enjoyable.
Off to mo leaba. 3am wake up for taxi to airport.

Tom McLaughlin,
I think Scotland will make it through, especially as GS is in charge.
I’ve always felt he was as concerned about Scotland as Celtic, when he was the Celtic Manager.
I want the SFA exposed and dealt with, only Big Money would change the whole structure. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place.
Sanna – not sure if you’ve put this up already mate, but Martin’s sister Mandy asked me to put this out there:
Hi Mandy can you please send this on
When Martin was in the rehabilitation hospital the kids and I would visit every day and we all slowly came to understand the severity of Martin’s condition.
Martin was there for a year and it broke our hearts to leave him each evening but our hearts were held together by the love and support of not only our friends and family but by the cards, letters, emails and even a bottle of vodka sent to us from Celtic fans from all over the world.
As news spread Martin,s mates from CQN rallied together and fundraised to enable us to modify our house and get Martin back home.
Not only were we grateful for the financial help but you all gave us hope and a feeling of not being alone in this devastating situation we suddenly found ourselves in.
Martin never complained or asked for much, just happy to have a drink with his mates on the porch, watch some football and be with his family in the home we have enjoyed for 23 years.
Thankyou for making that happen and allowing Sean, Alanna and myself 6 more years of cuddles and laughter and the opportunity to learn some valuable lessons not only from Martin but from belonging to a club such as Celtic and what loving support that can bring.
You really made a huge difference to our lives.
We want to sincerely thankyou with all our hearts xxx

Almore 22:15,
Where you off to Great Celt? yes I agree, Celtic are a lot mair exciting to watch despite the very Heavy schedule of games they have had and will continue to have until the Treble is secured.
Ireland are a poor team and Poland are bottle merchants. Get your money on Scotland to qualify from this group.

Your post brings tears
Watched the Wee Oscar vids tonight with my youngest Niamh, ( ( now btw) so she can learn that life is not all sweetness and you must help others. She said that Wee Oscar, at 5 was a young age to die.
Glad Martin got those extra years and his memory lives on with The Kano Foundation
