The overwhelming request from an international break is that our players return injury-free. Nir Bitton made an appearance as a second half substitute against Wales last night but left the field 18 minutes later, with a foot injury.
Nir is in the best form of his life and has carved himself out a deep-lying creative role in the Celtic team. Central midfield roles don’t come up for grabs too often. Two of our strongest players, Scott Brown and Stefan Johansen, compete for a small number of central midfield jerseys, although they are different types of players, so it’s important our Nir doesn’t spend too long on the side-lines.
Fraser Forster’s terrible knee injury last weekend was sickening. The big guy is one of the most professional players in the game and is absolutely dedicated to his development. His form in the FA Premier League this season has been sensational, recording more shutouts than any other keeper.
It’s a blow to Southampton too, who gave Celtic £10m for Fraser’s services seven months ago.

Rhodes will score every chance he gets against this mob
Rhodes coming on
Islands in the med csc
Provan…’Naismith first name on the teamsheet these days’
???
Mutton acts and plays like a hun.
44 caps is his birthright.
“Naismith first name on the team sheet” says Davies Provan.
Is that our level?
SN is a solid hard working pro but first name on team sheet? Aye if playing for my boys team.

3RD RAGER?
It’s been a while….at least a couple of weeks.:O)
You shouldn’t laugh……..but
You get spoiled watching the Celtic these days. Scotland have no real football in them at all. Entertainment value: not a lot.
This could be a game of 2 countries says Jordan Rhodes:)

If we were competing in Olympics at an aquatic event Provan would be right.
Dire this.
Hutton tripped by the turf.
Looked nasty but back on his feet.
Fortunately for Hutton he landed on his face.
Provan should learn what is a good cross and what is not. When it’s straight at the keeper Davie, is not a good ball.
Is it me? Or is Fletcher really pish?

Glad l missed the first half of this dire game. Looking forward to a proper match shortly, Eire vPolska.
Barry bannon – sums up where we are !!!
5-1 fletcher gets his second header
Ur still shite
This is pub level. It’s embarrassing that Scotland players even celebrate.
Allan Hutton – that awkward moment.
Fletcher scores! Apart from the beard , does he look like a current international goalscorer? No need to answer, he is shite.

See the rain that wiz in Largs?
It’s arrived.
Has Neil McCann expressed his outrage about Naismith diving? i’m sure he was very vocal about it earlier in the season.
Overseasbhoy – Bannon MotM. !!
The pitch looks like a total midden (what’s new) it’s cut up badly in a lot of places.
Gordon Strachan suffering from the myopic if they play in England must be ggod view.
He’s making the mistake of the incompetent msm by downplaying Scottish homegrown players and over rating English based dross
Dixie
According to Celtic Mythology, Fletcher would have guaranteed 4 iar for WGS
And he is keeping out Jordan Rhodes, who like Alfie Finbigasson, is not a Celtic or Delia type player but still we were being urged to spend £6m on each of them
C’mon Scotland…another two, in remembrance for another great score at hampden.
Bannon is another championship dud
Gordon suffering from the lack of vision he showed at Celtic when sticking with his favourite players despite poor form. Incredible that Maloney is still out there.Hutton not far behind.

———-‘
To clarify the turf did not look nasty. Nor indeed did Hutton on this occasion.
I was describing the event rather than ascribing any emotional mood to the turf which is resplendently green (as turf should be).
Wee Bannon making some nice passes btw.
SFTB
Instead we got Balde , Pukki and Bangura ….not suggesting those mentioned above are world beaters but they would have been better than the three stooges
Gibraltar sub makes his debut at 35.
Interesting that The Mullet is not in the Scots dugout as he is too busy at Ibrox
Contrast that with Jimmy Nicholl who abandoned a vital relegation detetmining fixture yesterday to assist with Norn Ireland even though they dont play till today
BSR
The sub is the guy I had a puff with outside the Radisson last night. Thought he was a coach of Gib. :)
6-1 Steven Fletcher first hat trick since 1969. Great finish.
