Freaky seven goal Europeans

699
Seven goal scores are remarkably scarce in football but for the second time this month we look ahead to a Champions League opponent who has recently scored that number in a single game.  Helsingborgs went to town on Swedish Allsvenskan side Kalmar yesterday.  Kalmar are struggling in the league this season but were faring better in Europe until Young Boys of Berne overturned a Europa League deficit against them on Thursday.

Form appears to vary widely in the Swedish league, not idea circumstances for placing a bet.

Midweek friendly internationals will not help Neil Lennon’s preparations as Celtic face the third of five games on the road in the Highlands on Saturday before heading to Sweden, especially as the early season injury count rises inexplicably.  I would caution against risking too much on a bet on the Ross County game for this reason.  County’s remarkably year-long run without a league defeat might stretch another week.

The first issue of CQN Magazine of the new season is due to be with you soon.  If you would like to contribute an article to a future edition let me know, articles@cqnmagazine.co.uk.  Final shout also for anyone who would like to advertise to the same address.

If you want I can forward your details to Stringer and he can maybe tell you how he managed to get published. He’s been signed up for a trilogy.

That would be fantastic. Just learned the other day that I have been accepted for a creative writing course in Glasgow Uni- but any amount of help would be gratefully accepted.

To all those who played last year, its a simple 5 minute job to re-register and set up your team, most of you will have probably forgotten your passwords so just type in your email and a recovery password will be sent to you.

New players just register normally, will take no longer than ten minutes.

I have done a classic league for this year, get as many points and most points wins, very simple compared to last years unpopular head to head win, lose, draw system!

To join the league the code is :- 721106-181775

    Enjoy

  5. Most of you guys on here have probably seen that BBC Doc made a few years ago about the so-called modernization of the OO…that guy at 1.11 into the vid is the prototypical Orc that a largely tolerated organisation reprehensibly protects and give voice to under its obnoxious mono-coloured umbrella…I still find it impossible to get my head around the idea that these neanderthals are still allowed to march and bang their drums of hate in this country! Mental!

But why did they call it the Poznan rather than the huddle??

One of them is an ex Glasgow councillor who was deselected after an assault conviction – he lamped a constituent in a pub.

Les Oranges…of all peepul you’d think that they would, even dimly, comprehend the symbolism inherent in the concept of transubstantiation. But,alas,no….the loyal brethern must stick to the literal and interpret things just as they do with goatheads and the all-seeing eye of providence.

Their fanatical impression of being Scotia’s kkk is fit for their vicious tight-mouthed and slopehead core membership.

In their own words : “….outdated and archaic…”

I read the whole lot of them after seeing Game of Thrones on Sky Atlantic.

Absolutely brilliant – some genuinely heartbreaking as well as jaw-dropping moments.

I’m now waiting eagerly for The Winds of Winter, and with George RR Martin being 64 and writing at snail’s pace, just hoping he finishes the last two books before it’s too late!

Aye….it was the tv series that set me off. And it was CQNers that set me off on that. Now look at me…..fit for nuthin’ except the machinations of Tyrion Lannister.

I’d actually forgotten that years ago he was one of my favourite sci-fi writers. ‘The Sand Kings’ was made into, imho, into the best ever episode (a three parter if I remember correctly) of The Outer Limits.

‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ is the magnum opus he’s been toiling on all his life and will be read for centuries to come, like all great prose.

Has the away leg on ITV1/ITV1 HD and the home leg on SS2/SS2 HD.

  14. I hear Craig Levin is now saying that he will consider all eligible players for Scotland, an obvious reference to Div 3 teams. That statement totally contradicts his statement last week when he said that the gulf between Div3 and international football was too great.

I wonder who persuaded Craig to change his opinion?

  15. miki67

One of my mates has read all kinds of science fiction and fantasy and says A song of ice and fire is one of the greatest series of novels he has read. So that was good enough for me.

The tv series has done a great job from what I’ve seen. Plus it has Charles Dance in it. Always a bonus.

  16. Hi guy’s.

    Just dropped in to say….

I’ve not been able to lurk or post on CQN for almost a week now.

Now, I know fine well that that will please a lot of you or, the majority of you if I’m being honest :o)))

Now,…..here’s the real reason why I’m making this post.

Last Wednesday at 15:05 pm….KevJungle lost one of his young brothers to a massive heart-attack.

My young brother Stephen who was a twin, was buried this morning at St John Ogilvie Chapel in, High Blantyre. He was 41 years old.

Needless to say, the family are devastated. So, at this difficult time I would like to ask any fellow CQNer’s if they could say a wee prayer for Stephen McQuade.

    May God Bless You All.

I’ll try and get back on CQN later in the week so, until then….

I find videos of that nature very depressing ….. These sad people need to understand the carnage their fanaticism has, and will continue to cause…….. I would suggest less than half of them actually attend church services every Sunday ……I know one orange family who have never seen the inside of a Church….believe me ….!!!

They are actually to be pitied, as they engulf themselves in bitter hatred ………..sad, sad ’empty’ lives……..
