The stadium displays at Tynecastle after Monday’s win over Newco proclaimed, “3 to go”. Good enough for Hearts, but that is the wrong message. There is only one game Celtic need to worry about and that’s against Newco on Sunday. Prepare for it, play it like we are playing to win the title. The games to come, or what happens elsewhere, is not important. Nothing else matters. We have a one game season. Win it and let the future take care of itself.
Celtic are on an impressive run. After six away games in seven matches, a run which could have ended our season but resulted in only one reversal (at Tannadice), we have developed a cadence of winning. As the chaser in the title race, all Martin O’Neill could do is win the next game and see what happens. It was a luxury to be able to forget about everything else. It is freeing. We have nothing to lose and everything to win.
Hearts players, fans and officials will not be able to help themselves count down the games to come. It is a mistake. For me, Sunday cannot come soon enough.

Wednesday.
That is all.
Chasers unite
Nice one Paul.
2 weeks ago it was all about Falkirk.
As a support, we were not fully confident going into the game.
We won the game.
Last week it was all about Hibs away.
As a support, we were absolutely not confident going into the game.
We won the game.
Repeat this week.
Match or better Hearts result the night before and we still have a chance.
Let’s hope we are still in it come Sunday.
Really up against it now, after the result the other night. Wildly celebrated by the old firmists and same clubbists maybe, but a real blow for anyone hoping for a Celtic league win.
Can only now realistically hope for Motherwell to get something off Hearts. If they win that one and possibly beat Falkirk by two or three how likely is it we will make up nine goals in games that will be hard enough just to win?
“Chaser?”
BRRB – “Don’t mind if I do”…….
Lena Martell knew how to win a league championship. Thankfully MON is a big fan.

League positions?
1. Hearts
2. Celtic
3. R2ngers
Prominence given in Blue Broadcasting Corporation article?
1. R2ngers
2. Hearts
3. Celtic
Can’t help themselves.
Ingrained culture ..
.. or should that be “kulchur” ?
I fear we may rue the scorline at Easter Road having had a man advantage for so long. 2 more goals in that game would have brought so much pressure to bear on Hearts
We have a 15 year old who’s stats are off the scale, called up by Spain,.
……Arsenal are playing guys at 15…..he will get punted to Liverpool probably, we are too busy punting strips…

It doesn’t really make any difference if Hearts lose, draw, or win their next 2 games. Celtic need to focus on winning our games. If we do win the next 2, it’s all on the last game when hopefully a 2 goal win will secure the title for us.
Hearts can lose their next 2 games and still win the title at Parkhead.
“We have nothing to lose and everything to win.”
The way this season is going we could lose 2nd place just as, if not more likely as win the league.
Despite looking nervous, frail and fatigued the team keep finding a way more often than not though so there is hope.
My hope is that , as the finale draws ever nearer and as long as we keep winning , that Hearts will actually increasingly dread the games to the point , if they don’t drop any beforehand , they might just freeze completely on the final day.
I haven’t looked at their individual players but as a club they have won one major trophy in the last 20 years and McInnes has won one major trophy as a manager ( a League Cup against ICT).
Having said all of that, I agree completely with P67. Absolutely one game at a time.
Every one is a must win.
I’m not sure many Rangers games are ever anything else.
Some rumours about that Ruhl is off – family issues. If true I can’t see that helping them on Sunday.
I do fear Tavpen may be given one last penalty against us for old times sake.
If we had ham, we could have ham and eggs. If we had eggs.
We’ll never know the outcome had the sliding doors closed for Hearts on Monday night instead of opening, but…
Them who follow the odds reckon the Hearts win on Monday night gives Celtic a better chance of winning the league than had R2ngers won.
Reason being that Hearts are more likely to spill points versus Motherwell (a) and Falkirk (h) than R2ngers would have been v Hibs (h) and Falkirk (a), and R2ngers would have been more likely to get a result at Celtic Park.
Regarding Sunday, we’ll need the best of us to get a result. R2ngers are still gunning for UCL football and the officials will now be gunning for Hearts.
On which point, has anyone heard an experienced football person justify the Hibs goal standing on Sunday? Anyone?
I see HB’s Yorkshire Whistler ‘cannot fathom’ the VAR decision on the goal. Further, states that the push on Nygren inside the box at the touch line is a clear penalty.
Add to that Douglas Ross being completely passive when McGrath wiped out Johnston directly in front of him, and then flagging offside at Meada’s goal despite being 4 yards behind the ball and – literally – being in no position to see the incident.
Rather looking like we have three matches remaining against four opponents.
TOSB
Well if they win both games (sorry about the if!) it will be a minimum of seven. I’m hoping Motherwell can do something, but I thought they would take at most 4 points from the Hibs/Sevco games and they won both.
Motherwell – Hearts: Saturday 8pm; Sold Out
Whether we like it or not, and we might, the result of that match will have some kind of impact on our outlook for a home game which kicks off just over twelve hours after the final whistle @ Fir Park.
Another case of Saturday Night/Sunday Morning if you like. 10pm Sat. Night to be more precise.
Point being Paul….what happens elsewhere is ‘important’, and you are kidding yourself if you think otherwise.
Then again it was you who predicted that the title would not go anywhere but Glasgow…..Old Firm thinking
Saturday Night first……Sunday Morning Comin’ Down…..
Sweating over where we might have scored a goal more here or there is a bit pointless when we are 20 points down on where we should be.

=============================================================
Clear handball at the Hibs goal denied by var and clear penalty denied to Celtic after two handed shove on Nygren in the box . There’s your two more goals .
It’s almost as though the officials were aware of the goal difference implications !

Had the match officials correctly applied the laws of the game and wiped out the Hibs “goal” and awarded Celtic a penalty when Nygren was wiped out in the Hibs penalty area, that would have effectively delivered that 2 goal boost to Celtic (assuming that Engels scored the penalty, as he usually does). Hearts would then only have a GD advantage of 3, which would be wiped out by a 2 goal Celtic win on the final day.
All the aforementioned wiping out would then wipe out Hearts’ and the MSM’s dream of Celtic losing their league title.

Our goals dont count?
As Bob Dylan probably didn’t say and friends of BRRB probably did….
Your glass is rapidly draining…..
The “fastest finger first” award goes to Glendalystonsils!
No one can pretend this is a strong Celtic team and no one can pretend that our points tally will be great given our resources.
Equally we have more than a punchers chance of winning this league and if we do it will be one of the very best feelings ever.
Seasons 79 and 86 98 and 08 all spring to mind. All last game wins by teams who were as unpredictable and vulnerable as any in my Celtic supporting life.
All 4 were at the top of my favourite league wins alongside the Invincible season and MON first win. .

Wilfried Nancy’s first and last matches alone made for a 6 point doing in favour of both Hearts and rangers. Had we won those home games (both of which we dominated in terms of possession, number and accuracy of passes, and shots on goal), the top of the table would look like this with just 3 games to go:
Celtic 79pts (GD +32 min)
Hearts 73pts (+30 max)
rangers 66pts (+30 max)
In this scenario we’d only need to draw at home to Hearts and one of our other two games to guarantee becoming Champions again for 5IAR.
My overriding emotion at the 98 win was ‘TFFT’. Still is. There was no great outburst or jubilation. I just sat down and started to breath again. Mental, but there you go.
79 I found out the score on the way to school the next morning. There was a broadcast embargo, some strike or another. If you weren’t there you didn’t know the score. No smart phones in those days 😂
Which reminds me, there’s an article on the BBC site with a newly discovered drawing showing ‘the true face on Anne Boleyn’.
Some wag noted: “This could be very important because if we ever find her mobile phone we may be able to unlock it” 😂

“6 point doing” -> “6 point swing”
(Auto-incorrect) 🙄
The 4-2 game
I am just contented that we no longer have to suffer that yon Possession based football with lots of horseshoe possession, and high scoring wins.
thank goodness we didnt have to watch that crap again this season.
this one has definately been better hasnt it ?
if winning by 3 clear goals is some indicator that you are a winning and dominating football team, well they can stick that us their arses, it is just not entertaining enough.

i certainely dont want to watch pish like this again, ever.

Tuesday night, loaded with a cold I just watched the lures v full strengths to see wot we are currently up against…
Not finesse aplenty, but no small amount of roughly hewn physicality in both teams.
The farts seem a very unified squad for who this year may be their only shot at glory.
Can we match these two for fight, togetherness and unity??
FN hope so!!

Playing with one striker, two easily double marked wingers, and captain sleekit telling the GK to dilly dally at the back until all our attacking options are closed down by opposition teams who are actually capable of learning stuff from game to game, will bite us on the erchie at some point.
Shoorley?!
If Maeda is injured it could be over soon.
And 53,000 season ticket holders will financially thank the board for their stewardship, and weeks later will sing sack the board?!
Maybe God will decide that such lazy, sleekit, virtue signaling, pretentious, duplicitous, old firm suckups, etc, fans like that don’t deserve anymore trophies?!
Who could blame him?
