The stadium displays at Tynecastle after Monday’s win over Newco proclaimed, “3 to go”. Good enough for Hearts, but that is the wrong message. There is only one game Celtic need to worry about and that’s against Newco on Sunday. Prepare for it, play it like we are playing to win the title. The games to come, or what happens elsewhere, is not important. Nothing else matters. We have a one game season. Win it and let the future take care of itself.
Celtic are on an impressive run. After six away games in seven matches, a run which could have ended our season but resulted in only one reversal (at Tannadice), we have developed a cadence of winning. As the chaser in the title race, all Martin O’Neill could do is win the next game and see what happens. It was a luxury to be able to forget about everything else. It is freeing. We have nothing to lose and everything to win.
Hearts players, fans and officials will not be able to help themselves count down the games to come. It is a mistake. For me, Sunday cannot come soon enough.

Would you like to expand on your latest conspiracy theory… “and captain sleekit telling the GK to dilly dally at the back”?
Maybe even supplying some definitive evidence to back up your outrageous claim.

On which point, has anyone heard an experienced football person justify the Hibs goal standing on Sunday? Anyone?
I see HB’s Yorkshire Whistler ‘cannot fathom’ the VAR decision on the goal. Further, states that the push on Nygren inside the box at the touch line is a clear penalty.
Add to that Douglas Ross being completely passive when McGrath wiped out Johnston directly in front of him, and then flagging offside at Meada’s goal despite being 4 yards behind the ball and – literally – being in no position to see the incident.
—————
Most blatant decisions I think I’ve seen, and still the club says nothing. It is beyond infuriating.
For those worried about goal difference I expect Celtic to wipe it out on Sunday.
Has wee Willie commented on the officiating from Easter rd yet? Has the VAR audio been released yet?
Has the board asked for clarification or expressed concern ?
If not , they better get it done before Sunday .

79 I found out the score on the way to school the next morning. There was a broadcast embargo, some strike or another. If you weren’t there you didn’t know the score. No smart phones in those days 😂
*It was a holiday weekend over here and we normally would pick up the Scottish Sundays on a Sunday night fae a local convenience store, but that weekend left it tae the Monday night.
We were driving an oulder acquaintance home when I popped in for them, on walking back to the car I glanced at one of the stories, big Shuggie would catch up with his national team squad after tomorrow’s OF game as I gave the oul yin the papers it dawned on me that was the night’s game which would be over by now.
Anyway as we let him intae his hoose I took off for his basement, grabbed the phone down there and called the Globe and Mail Sports which was a favourite among us expats for the scores.
“Scottish soccer scores please”, to which the wee lassie on the other end said, “Celtic won it 4 to 2”, after graciously thanking her and thinking oh ya beauty I took the stairs 2 at a time and hauf way up them it dawned on me we had won the League, the phones were soon ringing off the hook among the Tim fraternity.
The following night I called my da rather urinated off that he hudnae called me tae let me know the score, as he usually did, his response was that I probably knew before him as he didnae find out until the following morning when my mum, being first up, as all mums are, told him after turning the radio on, he also explained that due to the media blackout and we wurnae that good anyway he decided just tae go tae bed.
Several weeks later and we are all still in a state of euphoria, a couple of oulder Celtic supporters are over on holiday here, so the oul yin asks me if I could drive down tae see them, nae bother as they were the never miss a game home and away kind of supporters, well that night they told us that was the worst Celtic team ever tae win a trophy, history has been kind tae it as its often eulogised now, starting tae echo over here and likewise come May 23rd we might be extolling the virtues of this current one.
This photo tells you everything you need to know about the relationship between Martin O’Neil and Derek McInnes.
McInnes can’t make eye conact as he knows he’s playing second fiddle to Martin’s management record. Bring it on.

Like you, poster South of Tunis wrote a fabulous essay on his days in Milan at the final.
For 7 y.o me i recall the klaxon and horns, after experiencing the noise of Celtics support I couldn’t hear it.Big Tams goal their goals, and big john Hughes running thro in extra time.
Something was happening Celtic were loosing!
Aberdeen in Scottish cup(Davidson!!)
Feyenoord in European cup.
For 7 y.o me it didnt compute(on morn of 7/5 I thought of supporting Hibs(it passed by the morning schoolyard kickabout at playtime)
71s loss to Thistle had me bewildered but a rampant league title doubled up by beating huns for cup.

Oh dear, Flyn’s 2nd persona is too readily identified. Prick.
Kevin J Flynn will not go to Celtic Park and derides anyone who does as gullible fools. How would we know if he even watches us on the telly. And yet he alludes to having insight to the instructions of our captain. The only gullible fools are the ones who interact with his nonsense
Seen South of Tunis name mentioned earlier. He disappeared very suddenly from here. Anyone any idea if he was ok
Clinko, no one has heard from/of SoT since Covid started to sweep the world.
I do hope he simply chucked CQN and enjoys a quiet life tending his vines, but I fear he may have passed away.

Someone asked the same question a few weeks back and no-one seemed to shed any light at all.
I see our, penny pinching, bawbee counting,Board, showing no irony whatsoever, have announced next years kits today.4 days before our season, known in many quarters,as they’re,total fek up of our season,COULD come to an end on Sunday, who knows. They don’t,and don’t care.
On top of Labour Boy giving us a load of bull last week about fan meetings, and vague hints things will be different, all pie in the sky,in an attempt to grab your cash once again without a guarantee that next year will be different, and that they have learned a lesson. No such statement. The High St Dummy in the shop window, still CEO,the Labour boy hanging about like a bad smell,Desmond, when he can be bothered having a look at what’s going on.
Only hope is,as he has done before,is take control for a week or two,and find us a Top manager, and this time, fekin listen to him.
We are hostages to fortune, but do not give them your cash, until you see the new agreement, signed in Desmond’s blood.
New home kit looks great – homage to the Lions, with a nice round neck. Hope to see it launched on flag day – fingers crossed, Novena said.

Jambos 9/5 on Sat on PP.
Put a few quid on and hope i lose :-)
If they win have a few quid for game on Sunday but ideally lose bet on Sat and go to game
buzzing.
JC2- Great chance for our new manager to impress on Saturday night

Wilfried Nancy’s first and last matches alone made for a 6 point doing in favour of both Hearts and rangers. Had we won those home games (both of which we dominated in terms of possession, number and accuracy of passes, and shots on goal)…..

Without looking at the stats, I seem to remember feeling that this was correct. The WN teams had control for large parts of games but, amongst the overall dysfunction of the system, were just undone by two key fundamental issues; being too easily and critically exposed at the back, and not being able to convert chances.
It’s interesting to think that results under MON part II have been good, but some of this fragility that he inherited remains. Probably a combination of scar tissue from an incredibly disruptive 10-week period culminating in the 1-3 loss to the huns, and simple reality of squad limitations – lack of quality in key areas. So while for the most part we have looked improved defensively, just because 4 at the back has worked better, MON has been largely unable to address the issues of our attacking impotence.
This set me thinking, did the board’s failure to secure a striker in the summer ultimately condemn their managerial appointment to failure. The point being, it’s not unreasonable to believe a squad containing a proper CF could have easily improved those teams which WN fielded, and might well have been enough over the 6 league matches to move the needle in his favor.
Whatever the dynamic between BR and the board, him not getting a replacement for Idah, or Kyogo, or for that matter better versions of Kenny and Yamada, remains a failure steeped in suspicion and evidence of intentional self-harm.
As for the relationship between WN and the board, I’m left wondering if he might be justified in thinking that he paid the ultimate price for this failure in recruitment. Make no mistake, from the moment I saw his lack of presence in that first interview, I doubted his credentials, but, he was undone by those who hired him knowing that his system was unsuited to the resources available.
As for our next manager, it’ll be a hard reset in the summer made considerably easier if MON can get us over the line in the next three games!

About 10 men won the league….
I was working for the Hudson’s Bay Company in the Arctic. Now, each HBC staff house had a short wave radio, so this was how we got the scores. However, mine was not working, so whenever apples or potatoes were delivered by a wee plane, we could get lucky and see the league tables as the fruits and veggies on the newspaper wrapping.
I knew that Celtic weren’t doing well, but the league table showed us being way behind. ‘Aw feck’, I said to myself. On to next year. I should have looked more carefully, as the chasm between was huge, but aided by the fact that the huns had played quite a few games more than us.
By the time that the short wave radio was working again, it was the opening game of the next season. As usual, the english didn’t give a monkeys for Scottish games. At HT in the english centenary game, they gave results of english this and that, horses and other junk.
Then, the guy says ‘meanwhile, up in Scotland, Champions Celtic have gone 1-0 up against someone.
It took ages, but the penny dropped. Celtic were champions. Months after the fact.
But still delicious.
Cheers,
Weeron.

STV sports last night, you get the feeling Hearts think they’ve practically won it. We still have a decent chance and the Huns ain’t out of it yet. One game at a time.

My apologies, your IP addresses are very similar.
STV News Colin McKay just said: “The SNP campaign has looked very smart with their big yellow bus, which they have borrowed from Rangers FC.” lol
No wonder the SNP are just like the rest of the Unionist parties, controlled through the backdoor by Genocide land.
The SNP Idependence [trap] will never work as on Independence referendum day all Unionist voters vote together, leaving the minority SNP voters floundering behind.
Wake up or be shafted by these Rangers bus sharing sleekits! lol
The SNP are a Unionist containment vehicle designed for taking the piss.
They ask for both votes SNP wich allows Unionist parties to be elected through the backdoor.
The SNP are a scam – wake up.
Independence from UK and then joining the EU throws away that Independence as you must vote for all EU diktats or the UE will cut your money.
Irish people will never be free until the Workers Party of Britain/Scotland creates a British Republic with all Monarchy bs jailed and their monies repossessed.
Ireland would become a Republic by default.
Sounds like a dream but what else is there to do?
Sad are the homes….
On Sunday let’s go out and blow the huns away. A beautiful Sunday with attacking football resulting in goals and more goals. The hun defence is rank rotten with leaks like a seive. Let’s give them that sinking feeling.and spring a smile to our faces.
Forget the game on Saturday. Forget conspiracy theories, forget VAR and officials. Its up to us , let’s do it.
Give it our best shot; No excuses no regrets.

Hearts are understandably bullish after beating the huns. For sure, a good result for them.
That was their third come from behind win in a row, on the back of good results against Motherwell and then Hibs. Their tails are up, but pressure and expectation is building.
They now face a Motherwell side that might still need points to secure 4th place, and I’m fully expecting them to bounce back from their defeat at Falkirk. Not to mention that 3 of their back line are bhoys at heart!
As for the huns. I disagree – they are done, even if not mathematically so, but I fully expect that we will take care of that on Sunday.
We have a better than decent chance of winning the league. Worst case, we go into the final game at home against Hearts needing a win and enough goals to match or beat them.
