CELTIC are continuing to monitor Manchester United midfield starlet Aliou Traore.

Neil Lennon raided the English market FOUR times before last summer’s transfer deadline, most notably for Dutch teen right-back sensation Jeremie Frimpong from Manchester City.

He also signed 19-year-old Traore’s ex-Old Trafford team-mate Lee O’Connor, Luca Connell (Bolton) and Jonathan Afolabi (Southampton).

Versatile defender O’Connor, who won his first Northern Ireland international cap last year, completed the season on loan at Partick Thistle while striker Afolabi had a stint at Dunfermline.

Traore has one year left on his United contract and could be open to join the star trek of top young talent across the border.

The French playmaker has one year left on his deal at Old Trafford after joining from Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.

He could join up with another product from the French giants in Odsonne Edouard.

Sports journal France Football broke the news of the Hoops’ interest in Traore last week and the Parkhead side will keep tabs on the exciting youngster’s progress.
