Game time shortage for Compper

768

While the postponement of today’s Premiership game against Dundee was inevitable, Brendan Rodgers and the players will be far from happy not participating in a game they prepared for.  For the manager, in particular, this of one of the two games he could deploy Marvin Compper before heading to Ibrox a week on Sunday.

Compper signed his Celtic contact in December but it will be March before he wears the hoops for the first time. His experience would be invaluable at Ibrox next week, but on the back of only one game, and that against lower league opposition?

I don’t know the player but without further evidence, I’d stick with Ajer and Simonovic.

  1. VFR800 is now a Monster 821 on

Lustig has struggled in the last 2 games and badly bunkered in both – for the 3rd goal against Zenit and 2 bookings agains the sheep. Against a pacy (though not very good) Jamie Murphy he may struggle.

I’d be happy with Ajer, Jozo and Hendry as a back 3. Hendry has played well gaianstvthe stickies for Dundee and knows the score. If Boyata and Compper get game time against Morton (and Dundee if the game is rescheduled next midweek) this will give the manage plenty of options at the back.

On Hun Media and Swallow Swallow they are presenting Docherty and Goss as Zidane and Pirlo. They seem to forget that Broony and Ollie are coming to town (maybe Kouassi too). KT will also be present!

In front of them, we can choose from Forrest, Roberts, Rogic, Sinclair, Dembele and Edouard. Any 4 from that 6 will do for me!

It’s the hope that will kill them ……….

For clarity, Dave King’s appeal has been rejected. Lord Glennie’s judgement includes a provision that NOAL or Dave King may make the offer – but the offer MUST be made. Written judgement to follow.

The NHS won’t treat you if you look out the windae as you might get snow blind

    you’ve been warned

  6. I understand that trains from Edinburgh are running until 6:00pm.

In the meantime trains are not stopping at Haymarket.

That’s interesting. It’s not even as if he has Andy Murray to follow around right now!

Funny that he apologised to two of the parties involved but not the other. Hmmmm…..

  8. My concern now is that Saturday will be cancelled too. The snow situation will not improve until then at earliest. If we have no replacement game next midweek we could potentially be looking at an enforced 2 week hiatus before Ibrox. Not ideal.

  9. Sorry should have said trains from Waverley (Edinburgh) are only running until 6:00pm and are not stopping at Haymarket.

  10. Re possible game next midweek, if we draw on Saturday, would replay be next midweek? Looked on SFA Website…(going for a shower now), surprise surprise no info.So if we win on Saturday, it would be too short notice to play Dundee…..hope someone knows what i mean….Embramike help….

  11. Big Judith assisted by wee Anne Lundun, along with Stein Connolly will get us through…….;))

    Re taxi

I assume you are leaving from Celtic Park.

By aa route planner from Celtic Park to Grangemouth is 30 miles.

Private hire taxi’s are app £3.30 for first mile then £1.30 every mile thereafter.

    So approximate fare is £3.30 + 29x£1.30 = £41.

If you look up alocal mini cab number you can call them and ask for a quote for your journey under no obligation to make a booking.

    Hope this helps.

Ironic that Thirds were taken into liquidation with Bobby Shearer as their Manager.

    Always a reasonable watch.

    No notice at all…..

  15. Will this decision affect the playing side of the new huns?

Will they still have Wi-Fi and TV screens to watch.?

Again from outsiders point of view, the only beneficiaries are the army’s of legal teams.
