Gerrard’s reaction was typically selfless, “We’re definitely doing something right in terms of the team organisation [trans: I’m good at my job], but I think individuals in it today let us down a bit by giving big chances away [trans: it’s the players fault].

This is not a positive sign. Good managers are strong enough to open themselves to criticism in order to protect their players. This guy sounds like he has self-doubts. Not without reason.
The weekend’s action ended in typical fashion with the champions stretching their lead to seven points, albeit having played a game more than the also-rans.
Credit to Hamilton Accies, who battled with 10-men before collapsing after the 78th minute. Celtic were uninspiring until that point, but they are champions for a reason. The game transformed with the arrival from the bench of Jonny Hayes, Ryan Christie and Tom Rogic. Rogic, in particular, has patiently waited his chance. I would start him at Fir Park on Wednesday.

Compare and contrast the BBC’s reportage of Frimpong at Kilmarnock with its coverage of the more recent Griffiths incident. The former was an assault; and the Celtic player’s injury prevented him playing in the next game. The Beeb had extensive footage but chose not to show it. Nor did they mention it.
But for Griffiths, the national broadcaster all but contaminated the evidence and tortured the forensics to concoct a case for the prosecution.

BBC Scotland’s position on anything to do with Celtic is entirely predicable. It is and always has been and establishment hun shop. Their regular commentators and pundits are all ex-huns or are hun supporters pretending to be something else. One of the most hilarious moments in the past 20 years was Chick Young and James Traynor arguing about which if them was the biggest hun. Any story on Celtic is seen through a hun prism.
All of which makes it all the more satisfying listening to them after a weekend like the one just past.
How good would it be if Odsonne met a nice Scottish lassie ( or guy #2020 ) and they loved him back but refused to leave their mammy?
Or he loved golf or football or rain or winning trophies?
Or the Celtic board realised that big Fraser and Odsonne were genuine match winners, and at least tried to sign them up long-term on serious money contracts?
If El Hameeed and Frimpong get fit then the only position we can definitely improve on would be left full back or wing back.
We have a fekin brilliant team/squad atm and they shall not be moved.
If Slippy and Sevco keeps slipping we could reach the last 4 of the EL and maybe even better.
Football is fickle but we could have an unbelievable season this year.
