Delighted to see Brendan Rodgers is down to business at Lennoxtown, three weeks before the players return for preseason training. It’s interesting that he arranged an early opportunity to meet Scott Brown over a meal, and that this was made public.
Getting buy-in from senior players was one aspect of the job Ronny Deila allegedly didn’t achieve. The rights and wrongs of this can wait for Ronny’s autobiography, although you may wish to express an outsider’s opinion. All that matters to Brendan is that no one is able to speculate about the same issue on his watch.
There’s not much a manager can do three weeks before training starts than eat dinner with the captain, scout players and watch videos. I expect Brendan to have seen every minute of every Celtic game last season by the time players get back; there is lots to learn. In particular, what went wrong at the back to a team which broke defensive records in each of the previous two campaigns. You may wish to express an outsider’s opinion.
Those in the know warned us that blue collar crime is particularly difficult to prosecute, and so it’s transpired. Only Craig Whyte now faces trial in the Rangers fraud case, which saw remaining charges against Duff and Phelps’ administrators David Whitehouse and Paul Clark dropped at the High Court in Glasgow this morning. It’s far from a satisfactory outcome.
Good to hear the losing Scottish Cup final manager, who was left with some bears in Japanese forest for seven days by his parents, has been found safe and well, even if he has nothing to say for himself.

Ruth Dudley Edwards:
Back now in the top tier, their enemies call them Sevco and refer to their supporters as Sevconians, which the Urban Dictionary tells me refers to people “usually bald and toothless” and “consumed with bigotry and lies” who insist they are really Rangers.
On the website of Rangers supporters the Vanguard Bears, there is a thoughtful blog called “dehumanisation and the end game”, which gets to the heart of the matter.
It is dehumanising to deny the club’s identity by refusing to call it Rangers and to refer to its supporters as “Ku Klux Klan”, “Nazis”, “Huns”, “knuckledraggers” and “scum”.
An important part of the process of dehumanisation, as discussed in the blog, is deindividuation, “whereby individuals are seen as a member of a category or group, rather than being seen as a person”.
As Sinn Fein did to Orangemen and the RUC, so extreme Scots republicans are trying to do to Rangers, with the intention of demoralising them by denying them sympathy, equality, dignity or respect.

Why is Andre Wisdom worth 3 million?
He’s perennially on loan and unwanted by Liverpool. He didn’t shine while at Norwich and they clearly don’t want him either.
We should be asking for a loan deal with an option to buy him for that kind of price.
If stories are true then why at all? Right back is way down the list of positions we need strengthened asap.

Always loved the artwork on the Blue Note Albums as well as the music.

Ruth Fuddley Dudley Edwards is the go to “historian” by those wanting to paint the Orange Order in a flattering light. I have mentioned her on here in the past when she attempted to deny hat there was collusion between the RUC and Loyalist paramilitaries in the murder of Catholics/Nationalists. Her mantra on that one was that there may have been an odd bad apple in an otherwise sound Apple barrel. A proposition which has been completely blown out of the water by books such as that penned and RESEARCHED by Anne Cadwallader “Lethal Allies:British Collusion in Ireland”.
She is a walloper of the highest order who knows her demographic and plays to it consistently. If she was a Scientist she would be working for the cigarette companies telling us that smoking was good for our health.
If brains were Semtex her hair wouldn’t be ruffled if there was an explosion in her head.

I am finding the seismic change in the Stickies outlook on life to be both simultaneously curios and very funny.
Why have they gone from their fabled “nobody likes us and we don’t care” attitude, to a bleating, whining “he called me a bad name” stance?
Methinks we are getting to them.
Haven’t they suffered enough? Have they F***!
:)))
Although her bum hole might be singed
Curios = curious

He is a CB who has been pushed to RB. He can cover both.
However, if you play at right back because you aren’t good enough at CB for either Liverpool or Norwich, it’s a worry.
“I would hate to see supporters going down the victimhood path, but with the establishment of Club 1872, an independent new, united fan group which aspires to rebuild the club and keep it safe from dodgy businessmen, they have a much better alternative ahead of them.”
Ruth Dudley Edwards,
Did anyone tell Ruth (dodgy businessmen) about Dave King, or are his antecedents under revision too?
HUNDERBIRDSAREGONE
Simple, really. Just like the huns themselves.
“No one like us we don’t care”
They didn’t think that through.

For sure, someone would have to tell her. Because she’s too bliddy lazy to find out for herself!
I just wanted to say that my No 1 choice for manager was Martin O’ Neill.
Number 2 was David Moyes.
Brendan Rodgers is not someone I would have appointed.
I understand the hype .
But hype will eventually wear out.
We will be left with the performances and the results in the end.
What he has done previously at other clubs , now counts for nothing.
Good Luck Brendan.
We all need it.
