We had a special night at the Celtic Supporters’ Association’s 67th Annual Rally last night. It was great to see our two treble winning captains: Tom Boyd giving praise to the giant of the European game, Billy McNeill.
I had a chat with Scott Brown, who received his Association Player of the Year award. A day before he collects his fourth consecutive league championship trophy you’d think he would afford a moment of satisfaction, but he’s not happy this isn’t a treble winning season. The events at Hampden last month have left an open wound. All he could talk about was going one better next season.
Before you leave for the game tomorrow remember to bring along some change to buy a Ronny Roar badge to raise funds for the work of your Foundation. See you there.

CANAMALAR
I’m still smarting from my Viz link yesterday being deleted. Still,at least it reminds need me to phone WEEFRATHETIM on time.
Look, they’re on their way,the huns are. I don’t like it,you don’t like it. Get over it. Don’t deal wi what should have happened in the past. Deal wi what will happen in the future.
By that,I don’t think we just say move on,but the future matters more than the past because we can have a tad more influence on it.
Back in the early 80s Campbell Ogilvey used to give me and a mate of mine tickets for our games at ibrox. I thought he was decent enough back then before the Murray years.

The stench from the Dave King decision, will linger long, it permeates the air, and it’s the chink of light, they foolishly believe they’ve been waiting on.
It’s taken as another boot in the haw maws for Celtic fans, and every other club in Scotland even although they don’t, wont acknowledge it.
When I say they can’t beat Celtic, I mean over the piece, despite some deep reservations of how well our club is being run, Sevco remain a new club.
Their aided and abetted appearance in the SPL won’t guarantee they can compete, they can’t, they’ve no pot to piss in.
BMCUWP
Deal with …by accepting the corruption or pretending it doesn’t happen
CFC should be dealing with it ….
I have this nagging thought that there will be cheers in the CFC boardroom if Sevco get promoted
Better turnover ..bigger bonuses ….
Ogilvie …very good
Crocodiles smile too
I’m surprised that the trophies we have won “without a strong Rangers” are recognised.
Perhaps that will be changed when we look like overhauling their two club total.
Wouldn’t bloody surprise me.
Anyone else experiencing problems when posting ?
Is 1st play off game at Ibrox or Fir Park?
Ibrox………

Good comment @16.23.Valid points made especially regarding free transfers from other SPFL clubs. There will be wages to be paid, but we have seen the money found before.HH
As for first game being played at Orcdome, this will suit them again. They shut up shop today after getting what they needed in 1st leg.HH

My point remains that looking backwards for blame won’t change the present.
You know my opinions on this,I think Celtic severely screwed up by deciding that due process would kill them off. No real need to get involved.
It didn’t. Recriminations never help going forward.
Aye…Celtic will deal wi it…
The same faceless feckers who looked the other way
will be the same faceless feckers who’ll look away again
…know how….coz the same spineless Celtic supporters
have handed over the same money to these faceless feckers
…reap what ye sow….
On the bright side….the huns are back…
Every rebel needs a tyrant.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
If the twitter talk of Lawwell and Topping voting against Glib and Shameless being waved through is true then I think the next few days may become very interesting.
More sniping and scheming to come in the ongoing SPFL v SFA powergrab I think.
BMCUW,
My problem is those at the helm that said nothing throughout the cheating and after are still in place, with people telling us they are doing a fantastic job because they somehow managed against all the odds not to squander £140M and put us out the game for the three years the rotten mob have been away it’s been like a mantra, oh how lucky we are eh, OBA, kids with criminal records for supporting their team, Kettering of Celtic supporters, Celtic security and the Celtic finance director turning on the support, aye forget that we just need to gat on with it and lets these people do their job.
All this lack of competition mince beloved of our media is more made up rubbish fromthem.
In part due to our could be improved record at hampden, caley or falkirk will be the seventh different club to win a cup since the start of the 2011/12 season. A fact very rarely or ever mentioned by anyone in the media.
I mention this to fans of other clubs i work with and they just shrug their shoulders.
It hasn’t been anywhere near the armageddon highlighted by the sfa and the media.
A quote on twitter last week, football without fans is nothing, the league without sevco is effen great.
So, I, and a fair proportion of Celtic supporters, are now relying on Motherwell to keep the hate-filled hordes away from our stadium, to avoid unprovoked attacks on defenceless youngsters whose only crime is to dare to wear a Celtic strip, and to try to maintain at least some measure of sporting integrity in Scottish Football…….
To those who wants back …. You reap what you sow….

Are you Cqns tyrant or rebel ?
Am away to listen to SSBs secco love-in while making Saturday nights dinner which is Thai Chicken curry, actually my sister made it u am hearing it up, trust me Sevco are urine
Hail Hail
This has to be one of the oddest days ever on CQN.
If you feel the need to moan about all things Celtic, why not wait until Monday at least? Enjoy today and tomorrow. Our team has just become Champions once again.
I think that having the zombies in the top tier might be what the players want. Nothing better for Celtic players in Scotland than beating that bigot mob. Might be helpful in keeping and attracting top players.
Anyway tomorrow is p4rty time.
HH
Tomorrow’s time enough to enjoy the team right now I’m enjoying CTV multi-emoting

Good post:-)
Big-cup-winners
Remember they were formed sixteen years before Celtic and then died three years ago.I’d like to know percentage wise who’s the greater team.
Is there anyone on here going to see the trophy
being lifted tomorrow?
I will party like a bhoy who lived through the 90’s
The young Miss will treat the occasion like I used
in the first half of the 70’s.
We aren’t what we could be,but we might just be
getting there.
Kevj……..sneak intae CP the morra and give it plenty,
don’t be turning up at yon corner mind you, whit a stooshie
there wid be, take care pal.
Aff oot tae enjoy Saturday night, goodnight and God bless.
Four in a row and a wee dayoooooot the morra.
Leave the blame game for a bit, fellas.
Let’s just ram it up them that they still have a play-off to even qualify to get near us.
A quality post that deserves another wee airing. Very minutely Awe_Nawed to avoid, ahem, further censure- hope that’s okay Sandman.

The Huns beat a traditional garbage Hibs side and the usual suspects pop up on here to blame Celtic.
Yet nobody can actaually do anything but greet.
I have never read any constructive, informative post explaining exactly what, how and why specific actions taken by Celtic would have resulted in the utter extinction of the Huns.
Do tell, with your obvious technical expertise exactly how Celtic Plc could have intervened in the business of HMRC, the financial markets, and the like to legally euthanise the Hun entity in all its incarnations.
Such detail will be worth billions on the open market for any company looking to eliminate rivals so make sure you copyright your genius before enlightening us all….
Meanwhile, back in blinding reality – c’mon Skippy, pump that Zombie trash.

I was so fortunate to move south in summer 89. Admittedly I was back for their 9th title, but that made it sweeter.
Respect in spades and shovel-loads for the folks who turned up to back the team and eventually sack the board.
HH every one.
BMCUWP
Fair enough ..but
Our custodians have shown nothing to suggest that they will deviate from their current policy …..
The SFA mendacity and MIB cheating will get worse next year should Sevco get into the SPL ….
Therefore …we’re left with a decision …put up with it , pretend it’s not as it us …or take action …
As for me I just woke up this morning, on a long weekend and felt that I was overly consumed by joy and goodwill toward my fellow man.
To remedy this unseeming euphoria, I had a feeling I could log on here to see if certain folk could offer a dose of their rapier and insight into the failings of Celtic, and in the process bring me down a peg, or two.
Cheers mateys. Job done.
Hi bhoys and ghirls a wee appeal my daughter Elizabeth a long time season ticket holder since our return from hampden, and now has a son and daughter, season ticket holders, is running the Edinburgh marathon next Sunday 31/5/2015 on behalf of Celtic charity, the Celtic foundation. She has been training very hard and is looking forward to the run. If anyone would like to donate to the cause this is her address.
https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/elizabethgemmell1
A wee aside Elizabeth’s birthday is on 6th November 1987 exactly one hundred years to the day, brother Walfrid, formed Celtic, a born Celt, I am hoping to take her over to CQN corner on Sunday, but with the early kick off, time might be a factor, our seats are front row front row, FS3main stand 26,27 28, if anyone would like to say hello thanks and hail hail.
Thanks Jobo and the other CQN folk for the donations Elizabeth ran 20k today on her final training run, not sure how far that is in feet and inches she says light exercises, next week for the run up to the event.
On another note I’d like to say happy birthday to my daughter Helen who is thirty today, Helens one of the wheelchair fans, her first game was the great Lubo’s debut v Dundee a few years ago, she hasn’t missed many home or away since, great times some not so great, but we will be there, so happy birthday Helen I know you scan the site, keep your eye on the big screen tomorrow.
SDB,
Always a pleasure :oD
That’s my ghirl in now with the new top for the game tomorrow…I’ll be wearing a boilersuit :((
Four in a row here we go, agree with George McCluskey the 1-0 defeat by Hamilton was our turning point this season
Speirs on Radio Scotland Off the Ball suggesting Dave King scored a massive own goal by claiming they are the most financially secure club in the world. He said if they are financially secure, it’s only because they are a new club and the old club was liquidated. He said they can’t claim to have no debts and also claim to be the same club.
Let’s hope we end our league campaign with a resounding victory tomorrow against caley.
I expect caley will be more focused on the cup final and if they are , we should take advantage of it and let them know there won’t be a repeat of the semi result.

Good analogy on the LNS Commission.
The problem is no one told Harper MacLeod to exclude the illegal DOS ebts from what they specified Duff and Phelps to provide.
So LNS had to treat all ebts as the same in legal terms when a FTT and UTT deemed DOS ebts were illegal. He did not have the power to do that yet his whole Decision depends on (using your words) treating dry rot and wet rot as if they were the same thing.
Anyone following the narrative set out on TSFM will see that Harper MacLeod failed to answer the questions arising as a result of the different nature of the ebts being kept from SPL/ LNS by Duff and Phelps then by Ogilvie in his testimony.
Harper Mac actually washed their hands of it all and sent a copy of the witheld evidence to the SFA.
I understood it caused a bit of consternation and they have said nothing in response.
It’s not the only set of documents doing that, believe me.
You can maybe argue not providing what is demanded once is just an error or misunderstanding.
You might even get away in Scotland saying that doing it twice is just an extended oversight but three times?
They are fighting like feck to keep the lid on it.
When I say “they” I don’t include Celtic because it is through their enquiries on Res12 that probing questions that SFA dont want to answer have been framed.
I understand how ignorance creates a vacuum in which nonsense can flourish and so I don’t blame folk for thinking nonsense, but the idea Celtic are happy bunnies about all this does not stack up for me as matters stand.
This river is still in flow, when it stops we will all know where it has beached us.
