GOOD OLI – WHAT A GOAL!

CELTIC midfielder Olivier Ntcham took the spotlight when he scored a stunning free-kick in France’s 3-0 win over Bulgaria that took them to the top of their European Under-21 qualifying group.

The Hoops star, bought from Manchester City for £4.5million in the summer, curled an inch-perfect 25-yard effort high into the net in the comfortable victory in Le Mans last night.

Ntcham, who netted the fourth goal in the champions’ 4-0 triumph over St Johnstone at the weekend, had only been on the pitch for six minutes after replacing Strasbourg’s Martin Terrier before his spectacular deadball execution doubled their advantage.

His Hoops team-mate Moussa Dembele was also on display as he played the first hour before being withdrawn.

The French are now two points ahead of Slovenia after four games.

Kevin Graham recorded the latest episode of The CQN Podcast at McDiarmid Park, as Brendan Rodgers’ side extended their unbeaten domestic run to a record-breaking 63 matches against St Johnstone.
