GORDON ON WAY BACK

CRAIG GORDON could be fit to face Zenit St Petersburg in the Europa League next month.

The Celtic keeper looked as though he could be out for the season following his knee injury in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Hibs.

However, the champions have received good news after a scan.

Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers, who put on Dorus de Vries at half-time against Neil Lennon’s side, admitted he would have to look at the goalkeeping position before the closure of the transfer window.

But x-rays show no long term damage had been done and the injury is unrelated to the knee injury that sidelined Gordon for three seasons.

De Vries will deputise in the Premiership encounter against Hearts tomorrow night.
