Graft and guile need to make a comeback

129

They shipped three to Dundee and five to Kilmarnock recently but Partick Thistle held it together enough to beat Motherwell last week. They are a team fighting for their livelihoods and bear a grudge over a penalty kick decision when we met earlier this season.

Thistle play the role of whipping boys in many eyes tonight but no game is won before kick-off. Celtic need a response after Sunday’s defeat, which will only come through graft and guile. Patience may be required tonight.

Just as importantly, Brendan Rodgers needs to look at selection. He has three games in the next six days, the middle of which is against nearest challengers, Aberdeen. Freshness is needed for each occasion.

What’s your take on things based on what Auldheid was saying? Is there little hope for justice being done?

If your are asking me, personally and having no inside knowledge of the meetings other than what I have been sent as an update, I do not think Celtic plc want to run with this particular ball, just my take on it there is so much evidence about res 12 and the conduct of RFC 1872-2012 in regards to their tax affairs which lead me to believe Celtic FC have been cheated as it was not an equal playing field, the SFA know and might always have known but have refused to investigate and refused a judicial review. I do not know what the club plans to do in view of the refusal to investigate , but if they think a Compliance Officer investigation is good enough it isn’t for me not by a long way. sorry but thats all I know.

*was a young lhad working on the building sites and we had a neutral labourer from Dennistoun who went along tae the game, said the next morning that big Billy was the best centre half he had seen since willie woodburn. Fairly impressed this wee bhoy.

  4. Good morning from a dry but wee bit cauld sunny southern Ontario, the huge snow we had is all gone thanks tae rising temps over the last 2 days and just a wee dusting this morn, so glad that climate change is just a Chinese hoax lol.

So here we are facing a huge game tonight and let’s not delude ourselves it’s not. IMHO the last 18 months or so has caught up with us, apart from the 3rd steelemen game, up at the pen and the 2nd half in Brussels we have not been playing that well and on Sunday we were absolutely shocking, nae fight or heart.

Our European adventure was pretty abysmal again apart from Brussels and we were once again humiliated. I believe we caught Anderlecht at a bad time for them; they gave BM who defeated QSG a tough 2 games. However, we’re through and I do believe we have got a decent draw, not that far away, we’ve been further, and they are on their winter break. Hope we’re still not on ours.

I know some of you will say that this is our 1st defeat in 70 games and we should be proud of it, yes we should, but as an english duo who were big in the states said “that was yesterday and yesterdays’ gone” . we have tied 5 and if mcsleekit and milne hadn’t sent their own club into turmoil in an effort tae accommodate the briherhood I cringe at the thought of us going into Saturday’s game in 2nd place.

Also our GD had a bit of a dent in it over the weekend. So we have the next 10 days to reboot and up our tempo. Dubai will still come and hopefully with a nice cushion.

I mentioned a situation on my last season at hame, we had gone intae the New Year game top by 2 points and a 4 GD, and we had only lost 1 game and tied 2. We were in really good form with the LC already in the trophy room and then it was downhill like a snowball on its way to hell.

We somehow contrived to lose a further 8 and tie 3 more scoring another 32 but shipping 28 finishing 11 points behind deidco a distant 3rd with the arabs, who actually lost less games than us but tied 2 more, when it was only 2 points for a win. This was a Celtic side that contained at least 12 internationals on any given day as well as club legends.

It was a tired and jaded side as well and no matter how hard Jock tried with numerous friendlies tae try and tweak the side it was a slippery slope. Thank God for that cup fighting spirit.

Brendan has tae try and nip this in the bud and I know he’ll be in the market but any player signed will not be eligible until Brechin in the cup, that is if the clearance has taken place by then.

So tonight, no snottery 1-0 or 2-1 let’s give this side, the only one who failed to take a point fae sevco last season, a gubbin and set us up for the following 3 games against hun flavoured sides. We have another title to win.

Oh and BTW all you punters out there, a St Johnstone win on Saturday.

    ………………………….

    Thanks for your views.

I’m a shareholder and the cheating and corruption is there for all to see. Celtic and others have been cheated out of millions of pounds. No ifs nor buts. The non disclosure of side contracts alone should have sunk them.

IMO if anyone thinks the compliance officer is going to come down on the Huns or the SFA then they are deluded. To me it’s just another delaying tactic that will come to nothing.

The longer things are strung out the less the interest. This is part of the plan in my view.

I am personally tired of nothing being done and I know I am not alone. If we don’t clean out the SFA (and the evidence to do this is there) I honestly believe give it time it will come back to bite us in a big way.

I believe we have to put serious pressure on the compliance officer to submit his findings expeditiously. When he comes back with “nothing to be gained by any further action” or the like then we as a Support have to act.

If integrity means anything to us….we have to act.

If honesty and fair play means anything to us….we have to act

If we want put a stop to cheating and corruption…..we have to act

If we have any respect for those who went before us….we have to act

If we want to put an end to cronyism and deceit………we have to act

If we want the future to have a level playing field….we have to act

There are some very astute Celtic minded people in this place and elsewhere. How about we end the waiting game and do what we know is right. History will judge us as cowards if we do nothing.

Imatim says yes to crowd funding and going after the cheats and the corruption.

Unless a critical mass of supporters of all clubs delay ST renewal until Club Licensing is taken away from the SFA and conducted independently we are paying to revisit 2010/11 and TRFC to revisit 2012.

Celtic know what needs to be done but it is the failure of other clubs to support that protects the SFA. However it is not just Celtic who might lose out in the future it is those other clubs, pursuing sustainable policies who are losing out now and it is up to their supporters to pressure their Directors to demand change.

The Club Licensing System is broken, RFC and the SFA bent it for 10 years then broke it in 2011. It has to be removed from SFA control.

No problem, I agree with you , the media have played their part in keeping these issues under wraps, Celtic never seem to be that interested and do not use their media output if they feel/think otherwise, like you I think they want it to be forgotten about beat them on the park which I completely disagree with, I have been cheated as a season ticket holder during their illegal tax schemes and as a shareholder the value of my shares effected.

  19. Don’t post here much, but below is the club’s stance on the Compliance Officer investigation. What remains to be seen is whether Celtic will go public with the info they hold if the SFA response is a whitewash, which many (including me) suspect it will be. The advantage the SFA have is other clubs and fans in the most part either don’t care, or are completely ignorant of the situation. In addition, the media will be 100% whatever whitewash the SFA run with. It will be Celtic v the rest again.

    Dear Mr XXXXXXXXXX,

Thank you for your email. I note your concerns.

The process referred to by the Scottish FA is governed by the Judicial Panel Protocol and will be led by the Compliance Officer of the Scottish FA. That process must be allowed to proceed in accordance with the established rules. I do not believe that there is very much that Celtic could do, or should do, to influence the investigation, prosecution or decision making process.

Once the outcome of the process is known, then Celtic will consider matters at that stage. As I hope has been made clear by recent disclosures, Celtic considers that the governance of the game in Scotland is of crucial importance and has consistently taken appropriate action to seek to ensure that governance standards are adhered to.

” Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic is a doubt for Partick Thistle’s visit after picking up a knock against Hearts.

Midfielder Tom Rogic is out until the new year with a knee problem, while on-loan winger Patrick Roberts has returned to Manchester City for treatment on a hamstring injury.

Thistle boss Alan Archibald has no fresh injury concerns.”

I think the chances of a significant number of supporters of other clubs getting involved are slim to non existent. Milne, Petrie, Budge and the like are all singing from the same Masonic hymn sheet. We are on our own. That should be evident to us by now.

We have to call them out. We now have to force the issues and demand answers within an expeditious time frame. We have to organise and act. If crowd funding is our only course of action and I believe it is then let’s get it started.

I think you know in your heart my friend that we are on our own here. You and others have done a magnificent job to date and I commend you all but imo we have waited long enough and it is now time to act. My Club has been cheated and swindled out of millions of pounds. I and every other shareholder has been cheated and swindled.

We are talking fraud, corruptIon and collusion on a massive scale. The evidence is there and it is irrefutable. It’s time to unite for the fight. Let’s get organised and get it done.
