GREEK RETURN FOR £3.5m CELT?

LUIS PALMA could be set for a quickfire to Greece after his £3.5million arrival from Aris Thessaloniki last summer.

The 24-year-old Honduran international winger appears to have dropped out of Brendan Rodgers’ plans and is on Olympiakos’ wanted list, according to a report from a media outlet in his homeland.

Palma has been used sparingly this season – starting only two games – and failed to impress in last weekend’s 0-0 draw with Dundee United at Tannadice after replacing Yang Hyun-jun just after the hour mark.

FLAG HAPPY…Luis Palma congratulates Anthony Ralston on his strike in the opening-day 4-0 triumph over Kilmarnock at Parkhead.

The wide Bhoy didn’t feature in the 4-0 Boxing Day triumph over Motherwell at Parkhead, but could figure in the matchday squad for the visit of St Johnstone tomorrow.

Palma is under contract until June 2028 and is a member of Rodgers’ Champions League squad. With two outings in Europe’s elite competition due next month against Switzerland’s Young Boys in Glasgow and Aston Villa in the Midlands, it could put any switch on hold.

The match against the English club is scheduled for Thursday January 29 and, with the window open until Monday February 3, there is still time for a loan or permanent deal to be thrashed out.
