GREEN LIGHT FOR NTCHAM

OLIVIER NTCHAM is poised to get the green light to face AEK Athens in the Champions League qualifier at Parkhead on Wednesday.

The French midfielder gave Celtic a scare when he limped out of Saturday’s 3-1 win over Livingston in the Premiership opener.

Ntcham, scorer of the third goal with a neatly-taken penalty-kick, sustained an ankle injury in the fading moments of the contest.

The £4.5million capture from Manchester City last summer was checked by medical staff and the extent of the injury was assessed throughout yesterday.

It now looks as though the in-form powerhouse will get the go-ahead to play in the first leg third round qualifying crunch.

Ntcham will continue to be monitored in the build-up to the clash, but, barring any reaction or setbacks in training, there is positivity within the camp that the France Under-21 star will be available.
