Green Sevco 5088 phantom resignation

83

Rangers International chief executive, Charles Green, speaking to the PLC’s official website, yesterday referred to a conversation he had with Craig Whyte before Rangers attempt to survive via a CVA finally failed in June last year.

Green said “In a discussion with Mr Whyte, who taped some conversations, I am alleged to have said: ‘You are Sevco, that’s what we are saying”.

“This is correct but at that point I had signed a resignation letter and a stock transfer form because it was decided that a Scottish company should buy a Scottish institution. Sevco 5088 wasn’t required.”

A check at Companies House reveals that if Mr Green signed a resignation letter it may have remained in his pocket. Far from resigning from Sevco 5088 “at that point”, Mr Green, as sole director of Sevco 5088, signed a Striking Off Application for the company on 27th December 2012, a week after the Initial Public Offering of Rangers International PLC closed.  It is possible that Mr Green is still a director of Sevco 5088 as Companies House has not published his resignation yet.

I am sure this is an innocent oversight by Mr Green and that a fuller account of the facts will occur to him in time for an imminent clarification to the stock market, which would be prudent.

  1. From last thread

Kayal, Ye auld bo**ix, I’m after sending a couple of texts based on your post. I suppose I should have known twas too early for the Official Announcement but I was so preoccupied with Demo, I just took it as official. Just in case you are offended let me hasten to add that calling a fellow an “auld bo**ix” is almost a term of endearment in Cork and no offence is usually meant or taken.

I see you fooled Tallybhoy as well.

    apologies

team is usually on twitter an hour before kick off, anything before that is ‘wannabe’ managers (like me) bumping their gums on who should be playing!!

Adelaide is indeed beautiful. Wish I could work out how to post he photo tonight of the jetty 5 minutes from our apartment just after the sun went down. Warm and no midgies – I didn’t know such a combination existed.

Most of all, it’s great to be out with the kids, watching them playing on the beach even though it had gotten dark. And no neds!

No worries, cos I probably will have like yours better.

Team in twenty minutes will include underperformers, but some change …..Shirley

  6. Was at the rally and “marched” as far as the Metropolitan in Candleriggs (meeting someone for the game)

A few polis but not too many up to that point. All traffic halted. So far looks like the cops are being sensible.

    I figure 5000+ also.

    For today’s game –

4-3-1-2 is still the formation that suits Celtic best, but not with Samaras up front. I’d partner Hooper with Watt, and in the absence of Commons put McCourt in the deeper, more creative role.

Doing underhand things and telling good old fashioned porkies might win Green some friends amongst the hordes, but it will bite him on the arsr in the real world.

    Even in Scotland.

I have really taken to Green and Whyte recently ……

looks a good fresh team though, doubt Neil will shake it up. As Paul always says “Whyte is the only show in town” lol, lets clinch this title today with a good performance for once. COYBIG

  12. Pit stop in Blackfriars after my stint on the brilliant CQN banner. Which Bill was it against was the question ?

Well done Doc and the rest of the excellent CQN turnout. Planning a mini march to game shortly !

    Happy Days,

Its sunny and getting ready to join the crowd at Paradise to see a great days footie.

Couldn’t make the FAC rally, family stuff, but hope it is going well and the authorities recognise a bad law when they see it in action, shame on McKaskill and co, no Friend of Scotland !

  14. I am now on my way to CP having been at the demo.

I was actually disappointed with the turnout which I thought was closer to 3000.

I suppose in our society today where apathy rules it was still a good turnout.

  15. Question of the day- which CQNer shouted “Down with this sort of thing” at the FAC demo ?

  16. I’m truly happy the move to Oz has been good for you and yours, shady.

Fair play for havin’ the guts to make the leap.

    Even winter’ll be pleasant there!

  19. Good turnout today and the fans walking and singing on their way to Paradise was excellent.

I must say I was impressed with passion that Jeanette Findlay spoke with ; it was not what I was expecting ; she has fire flowing through her veins. The FAC spokesman done well as did the MSP who spoke on behalf of fans of all clubs.

It’s clear Salmond and Christine Graham have lost the votes of thousands of Celtic fans for the SNP. Fans of the other clubs will be the same. As Salmond understands football is part of the fabric of Scotland. Targeting innocent young fans of any club by Focus is a vote loser. Stephen House and the Police are not running for election. His main objectives every year are to obtain his budget and please his political masters. His Focus SWAT Team approach is now known not by the young fans , but grandparents, parents, uncles and aunts.

I came back today and my wife and 2 daughters asked how it went. They agree the SNP have bobbed and will never vote for independence or that party….hopefully.

Anyway back in Lenzie , and swithering whether to go to the game or not ( boys have other things on ). If the tic lift the title today I will regret not being there.

Well done to the speakers, organisers, stewards and fans turned who turned out today.
