Greenock, Argyle St and what Celtic Movement is all about

949

We are only two days away from the 9 in a row CQN Open, which again takes place at Aberdour Golf Club in Fife.  This year our guest of honour is Lisbon Lion, Willie Wallace.  We have already raised over £2000 from a shirt auction and raffle (thank you very much to all who participated) but we have a quick opportunity for you to win a signed Celtic strip in a raffle, ending on Saturday.

Tickets cost £1, if you can afford £1, get involved here.  Proceeds go towards 1254125, which is a crucial part of orientating the Celtic Movement in the direction of our founding fathers.

Willie Wallace will be at the Celtic Store, Argyle St, for late night shopping, from 5.30-7.30 pm tomorrow (Thursday) night.  Where you can buy a signed copy of his book and have a chat with the man himself.  Bring a camera.

Immediately after leaving the Celtic Store tomorrow Willie and Brogan Rogan (and a pile of books) are heading to the Greenock Celtic Supporters’ Club for a CQN Question and Answer evening.  Entry costs £2 (all of which is going to our charity causes).  DON’T FORGET YOUR CAMERA!!

I know many of you have read Brogan Rogan but if you’ve not seen him and Willie Wallace in action, get along tomorrow, it will be another classic Celtic night.  Tickets are available at the door.

Thanks to everyone who helped organise all of these events, more on that later.

Charlotte’s latest release is an email from Joke Irvine to the Whyte Knight regarding the position of Rangers (in liquidation) towards sectarianism:

“Were you statesmanlike on Rangers TV re sectarianism or did you go for the FTP line asoutlined at our boozy dinner in Mayfair?”

    “Jack”

No wonder they can’t move on.

We are formally requesting that the ASA should clarify their status as a club with UEFA.

One simple request – shouldn’t take too long.

OK cheers, i may be heading back to Béal Feirste in a week or 2. So a wee ‘dander’ up the Cliftonville road in a Celtic onesie to announce ones arrival to the relatives may be called for, obviously not me wearing it of course!

Sorry, lunch beckoned. Haven’t seen the Netherlands play yet, so I’m looking forward to that. At the start I thought England had the best of the draw, but as it turned out Norway had.

The next few games will be very close, but I think Italy will take some beating.

good stuff as one of the 78 I wait with bated breath…… The law of averages says at some point one of these agency's will slip up and acknowledge the truth …. Shoorly!

  17. A request for information.

Has anyone been able to but tickets for the Brentford game online? It looks like only home supporters can buy online. Before I get on the phone (while at work) I thought I’d ask on here.

It also seems that we can still buy tickets for the Bill Axby (wasn’t he the Incredible Hulk whewn he wasn’t angry?) Stand…which I assume gets you a seat. However sale for the away terraces have been suspended due to demand…strange.

The website goes on about Brentford fans not turning up for friendlies (as a justification for selling so many to us). More a case of Bees Make Money, I think.

Wouldn’t want to lose Hooper, Wanyama AND Forster. Chance of replacing all 3 with like must be very slim even with our first class scouting setup.

    cadizzy,

according to the Celtic website, tickets for both the Brentford and Liverpool (in Dublin) games will go onsale online tomorrow…..and from the ticket office.

    Hope that helps.

Also saw that Brentford have stopped selling tickets for the away terrace as they are selling so quickly!

  23. In light of the ASA’s ruling, does that now mean that “thems” will be required to pay the £250,000 fine imposed for being found (not) guilty by LNS? Or, should I expect to hear the oldco/newco argument? A win/win situation for “thems” again!

I even tried looking them up under H for Horribles.

A bit of an oversight if they really are the ‘most successful team in history’.
