We are only two days away from the 9 in a row CQN Open, which again takes place at Aberdour Golf Club in Fife. This year our guest of honour is Lisbon Lion, Willie Wallace. We have already raised over £2000 from a shirt auction and raffle (thank you very much to all who participated) but we have a quick opportunity for you to win a signed Celtic strip in a raffle, ending on Saturday.
Tickets cost £1, if you can afford £1, get involved here. Proceeds go towards 1254125, which is a crucial part of orientating the Celtic Movement in the direction of our founding fathers.
Willie Wallace will be at the Celtic Store, Argyle St, for late night shopping, from 5.30-7.30 pm tomorrow (Thursday) night. Where you can buy a signed copy of his book and have a chat with the man himself. Bring a camera.
Immediately after leaving the Celtic Store tomorrow Willie and Brogan Rogan (and a pile of books) are heading to the Greenock Celtic Supporters’ Club for a CQN Question and Answer evening. Entry costs £2 (all of which is going to our charity causes). DON’T FORGET YOUR CAMERA!!
I know many of you have read Brogan Rogan but if you’ve not seen him and Willie Wallace in action, get along tomorrow, it will be another classic Celtic night. Tickets are available at the door.
Thanks to everyone who helped organise all of these events, more on that later.

You were kind enough to ask how I was doing yesterday, but I’d logged off before seeing that.
I don’t stay on long these days, if at all, because in a word I’m feeling rough.
But I like to drop in and read the article of the day and catch up on what the zeitgeist is re. all matters Celtic.
Anyway, thank you for asking.

Golf?!
I used to play it once – gave up sometime in the late 1980s.
Tbh it gave me up.
Still like the game – watching it on tv from a comfy chair. Particularly enjoyed the recent BMW tournament which was won by young Matteo Mannassero in a play off, especially as that hun Marc Warren made an erse of it – again. The same day we clinched the double.
Enjoy Aberdour!

Is Robbie Keanes wearing a onesie?

There was obviously more than a tenuous link with “thems”.

The Argentina forward and his father, Jorge,

The 25-year-old World Player of the Year has
so far made no comment on the allegation.

4/4 It is normal for clubs to retain any broadcast income (RFC IA had this); not sure why but suspect it has to do with media rights.

3/4 Text donations would have gone straight to Oxfam; I don’t have figures for that. I willsk tho.

2/4 Avg ticket price was £9 & attendance was 55k generating c£500k income. Costs would be c£150k so £330,000+ charity money is about right.

Not so bad. Textd taggsy to tell him neither I nor my dad will be at golf Friday.
Looking forward to Friday, and in particular, to saving a shed load of money. I reckon I’m going to be at least £20 up when I finish my round with BJmac and EC67.
It’s a simple enough ruse, so simple that it’s taken me years to figure it out.
Basically, I’ve decided to stop using the Titleist Pro V 1 ball, and instead, have opted for the Prosimmon Tour ball. The difference is remarkable. Around £2.50 per ball!!! and with me generally losing 8 balls in a typical round at Aberdour, I’m quids in. Big time.
Scottish Football League clubs will vote on Wednesday whether to pass league reconstruction proposals through in time for the 2013/14 season.
If 22 sides out of 29 vote in favour, the SFL will be merged with the Scottish Premier League.
A play-off will come into effect between the top two divisions, there will be a change to the governance model and, in 2014/15, a further play-off between the bottom club in the Third Division and the winner of a Highland League v Lowland League play-off.
A change to the financial distribution model is also included in the package, which would see First Division clubs in particular receive significantly more money each year based on their league placings.
Our list below outlines how much each position in the Scottish Football ladder stands to make, based on an estimated prize pot of £17,965,000.
The figures are calculated on a percentage, which is expressed in brackets. The difference compared to how much clubs currently receive for finishing in the positions listed is also expressed.
