GRIFFITHS BEATS JINX

RELIEVED Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths was delighted to stop the rot at Hampden.
The frontman said: “It’s the third time I’ve been in a Cup Final and it’s the first time I’ve won.
“So, you can definitely say it’s  case of third time lucky.”
Griffiths had previously played in Scottish Cup Finals while on loan at Hibs and been beaten 5-1 by Hearts and  then 3-0 by the Hoops.
He added: “I admit I didn’t have the greatest of games, but the main aim was to get the trophy back to Celtic Park and we managed that.
“Dundee United are a hard team to play against. It was made a little easier when they went down to 10 men, but we still had to get the game finished.
“I love every minute of being at this club and this is what I signed up for.
“I want to play in Cup Finals and I want to win trophies, Now we want the treble and I definitely think it is on. I don’t see why not.
“We’ve got a great squad and we just need to believe in ourselves.
“The manager, Ronny Deila, knows what he wants to do and the players are buying into that now.”
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
