GRIFF’S NEW MOVE

1

FORMER Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has rejected a permanent move to Dundee and is now in the hunt for a new club.

The 31-year-old frontman, who scored 123 goals in his eight-year stay at Parkhead after his £1.1million arrival from Wolves, was official released by the club last month.

The Hoops paid up the six months remaining on his contract and it looked as though he would return to the Dens Park club after spending the first half of the campaign on loan at James McPake’s side.

In another twist in fortunes, thought, the ex-Scotland international forward has knocked back a short-term deal until the end of May, according to a report in the Daily Record.

However, Griffiths has decided to look at his options elsewhere.

Ambitious League One side Queen’s Park are monitoring his situation and could follow up with a firm offer.
