Grown-up footballers, Mourinho accused of cheating, Linfield lucre

371

When did footballers get all grown-up? Jonny Hayes offer to pay for new Aberdeen strips which had his name emblazoned on them, before his transfer to Celtic, is just such a thoroughly decent thing to do. He added a condition that the strips he bought back were donated to a worthy cause.

Small gestures go a long way in the game. I suspect this guy will surprise a few on the upside.

Linfield want to face Celtic at an early kick-off on 11 July for financial reasons, instead of taking the second leg to Belfast a week later, when, you have to assume, they expect the competitive element to have gone from the tie. 11 July is no less combustible in Belfast than the 12th (it is technically more combustible).

Kick-off at 9am, let the football fans watch their team in without the distraction of Belfast’s nocturnal July activates, or switch the first leg to Glasgow. And then hold the second leg at 9am in Belfast.

Jose Mourinho was thing morning accused of being a cheat! The Spanish tax authorities are 14 years and one month behind Celtic fans. Pay your tax or Karma will get you every time.

Hold on to it … you can buy me a glass of wine next time we are both in Paris!

  2. Celtic have silence down to a fine art and on the CL qualifier from hell, we’re

    well……. silent.

Very noticeable that there few if any Celtic official quotes, the representatives at the draw who spoke with Linfield were merely being polite, and talks might begin when Linfield actually qualify.

Interesting to see if Paul67’s notion on no tickets thanks, or the obvious need to switch the dates will be requested by Celtic.

Meantime SMSM run amok with trouble ahead stories mount and mount a wee campaign that the game isn’t switched.

    TAL,3:40,

Talking about the so-called glorious 12th,does that mean the DUP support for Brexit means a return to the Julian Calendar and the Battle of the Boyne reverting to the 1st of July in the minds of the sillybillies??

Am i allowed to go see Celtic in Belfast.

Any news from the CQN Committee yet?

I heard they had decided to prevent Celtic fans from going.

Hopefully, they might see sense, and allow us to choose for ourselves.

That would be nice, wouldnt it?

did anyone else hear Paul Lambert on radio Scotia mumping aboot

the huns should never have been demoted and we need a strong zombie team in

top league.Used to be a fan of his,not now …UP YOURS LAMBO!

  7. Voguepunter listened to Lambert as well, cringeworthy, does he believe it or just parroting the SMSM line, if so that’s worse than really believing we need a strong them. We need strong competition from ALL the other teams. Shame on you Paul. H H Hebcelt

  8. Our supporters who attend should / will take appropriate precautions. But Yes, Celtic will stay silent. The club will treat this CL qualifier like any other, in a professional manner which is what a dynamic club that moves with the times should do.

IMO, To do anything else is pandering to dinosaurs.

  9. Didn’t hear Lambert’s comments, Fergus McCann said it was a terrible decision for Sevco to be starting off in the 4th division of Scottish Football.

I know. However, its nice to have the choice, rather than directives from the CQN steering committee.

Rather than “Ou sont les boutons d’antan” which merely suggests that I can no longer fit into my trousers.

Careful the unseen fenian hand will be deleting the, lets go to Belfast posts again.

Had a real laugh reading back today, at posters commenting on deleted posts that they hadn’t seen. As in guessing why they had been deleted.

That’s magic, maybe to keep us entertained throughout the summer we could play guess why the post was deleted.

I managed to have 3 deleted, not a swear word In any of them, for those of you playing the game. :-)))

Im used to being censored. Strange though when other regulars start getting deleted as well, while the real culprits are uncensored.

Still….should be fun ducking the CQN morality squad:)

Paul Lambert was a great servant to Celtic and a firm personal favourite.

He decided long ago to play the ‘Sevco card’ when prompted for comments on what happened to

    the original Rangers.

He even took getting his teeth knocked right out in the old days, so he’s one placid guy.

His choice, maybe he prefers a quiet life when he is bound to mingle with a world far from Celtic, where some even on the inside, don’t tell it’ like it is.
