FORMER Celtic loan star John Guidetti has agreed a five-year deal with Celta Vigo.
Guidetti, who scored 15 goals during his season-long loan at the Hoops, joined the Spanish top-flight outfit after knocking back moves to England, Italy and France.
The 23-year-old frontman made only one appearance for Manchester City after joining them in 2008 and had been a free agent after his contract expired last month.
Guidetti previously had loan spells at Burnley, Feyenoord and Stoke as well as Ronny Deila’s Parkhead side where he won Premiership and League Cup medals.
Potteries boss Mark Hughes was keen to take the striker back to the Premier League, but he couldn’t compete with the lure of La Liga.
Guidetti, who managed only four goals this year for the Glasgow giants after a whirlwind start, helped Sweden win the European Under-21 Championship last month.
