SEAD HAKSABANOVIC was involved in Montengro’s 2-0 home loss in their Euro 24 clash against Serbia last night.

The Celtic winger appeared to come through unscathed before being substituted in the 76th minute.

Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou will be relieved with the news after Haksabanovic had been mysteriously removed from the action at half-time in his nation’s 1-0 victory over Bulgaria on Friday.

KNEESY DOES IT…Sead Haksabanovic slides in celebration after netting Celtic’s third goal in the 3-1 win over Hibs at Parkhead.

The second-half no-show from the £1.7million summer recruit from Rubin Kazan was not explained by head coach Miodrag Radulovic who refused to go into specifics afterwards and simply mentioned “some fatigue and injuries from the match”.

But Haksabanovic came through the international derby without mishap, despite Montenegro’s defeat with Dusan Vlahovic netting two late goals, the opener 15 minutes from the end and the killer second five minutes into stoppage-time.

Postecoglou could be struggling for wide Bhoys when the Premiership restarts with a noon kick-off against Ross County in Dingwall on Sunday.

PICK IT OUT…Liel Abada lashes a low drive past St Mirren keeper Trevor Carson in the 5-1 Paisley romp.

Liel Abada sustained a knock in training with Israel before being returned to the champions while Daizen Maeda is also heading home after a wasted 12,000-mile round-trip for Japan’s international double-header where the nearest he got to the action was a place on the subs’ bench in Friday’s 1-1 draw with Uruguay.

Evergreen James Forrest sat out the games against Hearts and Hibs before the break, but he could be fit to return to the reckoning for the match against the Highlanders.

Filipe Jota, free of international commitments, is fit and ready to go.
