SEAD HAKSABANOVIC has sparked transfer speculation following a stark message on Instagram.
The Celtic winger has yet to start a first-team game this season and has taken to social media to publish an image with the words: “If they don’t see your value maybe you’re not in the right place.”
Haksabanovic was snubbed from the opening two games of the new campaign against Ross County and Aberdeen, but was thrown on as a 75th-minute substitute with the Hoops struggling before their eventual 1-0 Viaplay League Cup exit against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park last weekend.
It was a similar story as the champions toiled towards a goalless draw with St Johnstone at Parkhead yesterday when Brendan Rodgers looked again to the Sweden-born Montenegro international on the hour mark to try to add some vim and vigour to his team.
The 24-year-old wide Bhoy, a £1.7million recruit from Rubin Kazan last summer, looked lively after his introduction for David Turnbull.
He fired in a sizzling low long-range drive which was tipped round the post by sprawling keeper Dimitar Mitov and he then set up a superb chance for Matt O’Riley which the midfielder skied waywardly off target.
With time ticking down on the current transfer window, it will be a concern for Rodgers that a valuable squad member appears to be unsettled and making noises about the possibility of going elsewhere.
