Re the oil painting story…I watched the Channel 5 documentary as my lhad at tha time was a big fan of Liverpool as his second team.
The oil panting wa sitting above his fireplace in the hallway of the classic footballer mansion. Now, I understand that the painting was a gift from a supporters club, I cNnot confirm or deny that. I do remember my lhad cringing as I passed comment on the siting of the painting.
If any of the above is wrong I will apologise profusely. What I will say is that I like Brendan Rogers as a man, he has faults like all of us.
He deserves praise for achieving so much, he has made mistakes. So what? His biggest mistake was believing that Liverpools run to second spot in the EPL was down to him. That ,is in my opinion his weak spot.

I can honestly swear on their lives that at 2 -0 I predicted that it would bee 2-2 before half – time.
I was only 3 mins out (:-)
I never saw the Ajax match after Bittons opener, but I did predict defeat to my wife when we were winning .
We were listening on the radio on our way to and from StAndrews.
I predicted defeat at Pittodrie ,a draw against The Jambo’s .
I predicted that we would qualify for the CL groups on here, after the St Jarnan first leg.
I predict that we will win the SPL this season, but it won’t be pretty.
I predict ( Like you) I will be supporting the Celtic until I take my last breath (:-)

What did concern me today was that on several occasions players clearly didn’t know their job and what position they were supposed to be taking up.
Twice Commons, as part of a two man wall with Griffiths, was screaming at the entire defence that they were sitting to deep.
On a few occasions in the first there was disagreement on which zone players should be occupying.
Now, I get that today’s back 4 was pretty makeshift but on two of those occasions the disagreement was between Griffiths and Boyata, two players who’ve been playing together most weeks.
The players should be going onto the park aware of their offensive and defensive duties. At times today it was a shambles.
In many ways it makes the points even more credible.

Sorry my last post should have been that I predicted that we wouldn’t qualify for the CL group stages after the StJarnan first leg .
Just started watching this Madrid derby, I am reminded of a great quote from many years ago where the journalist was watching McEnroe v Connors at Wimbledon in a foul tempered match. The quote was along the lines of ” A dreadful match where you truly hoped that both players would lose”

RE guys castigating team after today lets look at some facts it was our 7th game in 22 days including 2 big Euro Ties. Opposition unbeaten at home in League up to today, would have gone to 3rd in table had they won . Artificial pitch, opposition get dream start with early goal yet our Bhoys battle back and take the 3 points.
We are certainly not firing on all cylinders but we are not as bad as Tiny Tim is trying to make out, we played very well in our two Euro games earned a good point away to Ajax and only for major individual blunders could and should have beaten Fernabache. Our top signing of the transfer window has yet to show us what he can do, and our defence will improve as they get more used to each other.

TT,
So yer predictions were shite, we never qualified and we never got beat by Ajax, lucky I’m yer banker :)
Same here..I expect the team shape was only sorted yesterday morning at Lennoxtown. All in all. 3 points…not a lot else matters .

JC2, he did play against Blantyre Thistle today in a 3 3 draw.
He normally doesn’t want me watching him play but I decided to watch the second half after our game finished.
I’m glad I did. It was very entertaining, hassle free game and fair play to both sets of players for playing the game in good spirit.
My son hit a shot , hopefully, he will hit again a number of times.
I don’t want to sound boastful, but its one of the best shots I have seen hit this season.
Four former team mates of his were in the Blantyre Thistle team today with two of them scoring.
