    Reagan and drugs???

    Contras.

    Ollie North

Weapon sales to the purported enemy Iran.

Goes sour. Iranian airliner shot down. Lockerbie is the ensuing revenge.

Wake up and smell the coffee. Or keep blaming poor people/immigrants/ muzlim types/ Europeans.

    Or all of the above.

The only drug you mention is coffee.

You didn’t, hope he-she is well, listen, I have no problem on here, but at times when I am accused of things that are blatant lies it bugs me big time, so sorry if you were caught in the cross fire.

    Ye Gods

Reagan stood up to this guy who sadly has returned to power.

    Thirty killed by his regime.

    Maybe Reagan was right ?

” The 2018 Nicaraguan protests began on 18 April 2018 when demonstrators in several cities of Nicaragua began protests against the social security reforms decreed by President Daniel Ortega that increased taxes and decreased benefits. After five days of unrest in which nearly thirty people were killed, Ortega announced the cancellation of the reforms. ”

Betcha a few Nicaraguans are in the caravan to the home of the brave and the land of the free. And Donald Trump`s America.

    Voting with their feet .

The most meaningful vote of all.

Absolutely no problem buddy. Got a wee Jack Russell who was getting used as a bait dog for dog fights in a farm in Aberdeen. Thankfully as we are well known in the industry, we were contacted by vets in Aberdeen and asked to foster him until a permanent home could be found. He found one. ????????????HH

  6. Missed the game but I’ve seen the goals and the blatant penalty.

Why the discord? It’s all coming together as we undertake a taxing number of games up till the break.

    Broony back to fitness.

    Christie and McGregor on fire.

Wee Jamsie has found Joe McBride’s old boots.

Leigh back. And with a goal.

Steady Eddie, calm confident and imperious

Ntcham back to boss the midfield.

A choice of Centre backs. Now there’s a novelty.

Tom being rested after his mid week travels.

No matter the circumstances of the McGinn or Christie debate, it’s obvious that our gifted manager and back room boffins have created a three dimensional destruction machine.

The winning mentality has been restored.

Let’s all hope we reflect it on here.

  7. JTT

Recovering from pneumonia. Just couldn’t get out of bed.

I’ll be on the bench on Thursday along with Broony.

    Bloody good man.

  9. When VW skewed their diesel emissions figures to satisfy the EPA and sell more cars, Ford, Mercedes etc did not get involved in seeking punishment.

When GSK were caught in a Chinese bribery scandal to increase their market presence, Merck, Sanofi etc did not undertake their punishment.

With these and many others, the courts and or regulatory bodies are the normal recourse for compensation, punishments and oversight.

So the Res 12 guys have rightly focused on the SFA UEFA authorities rather than force the board to make isolated statements or actions against the Sevco Swindlers.

The only problem is the reluctance of the SFA to acknowledge wrongdoing from their pet project.

The board bashers on here who base their support or lack of it on the board’s actions, or lack of them, are focused on the wrong target.

Our primary goal is to become the singular prominent football club in Scotland with a team, a venue and facilities fit for the next phase in the growth of European football.

We are doing it without the crutch of Sky revenues, instead reliant solely on the constant steady support of revenue from season ticket sales and other imaginative streams.

Look around you and see where we are.

Look at the improvements in the environs.

Look at the improving facilities for all fans.

Look at the football department and their expertise.

Organizationally on and off the field we are a generation ahead of our nearest rivals.

We won’t get every single step right but we will continue to improve.

    Contrast and compare.

I just posted this on Sentinel Celts because of the lead article

We all have a personal Celtic here is mine and how it is changing and how to deal with it.

    Mahe (on Sentinel Celts)

Readers might find this relevant to your lead blog. I came across it when looking for another article.

    https://www.celticquicknews.co.uk/a-very-personal-celtic/

This bit is where the real personal disappointment at how Res12 has been dragged out comes into play.

” Personally I see last season’s OST initiative as simply another indication, along with the recent appointment of a Supporter Liaison and Service Officer, that progress is being made in an ongoing process of bringing the Celtic support even closer together using the wonderful communication tools we now have. I find that something to be excited about as a force for spreading good in a world where ethics (which is derived from ethos) seem to have been forgotten.”

Disappointment because the ethos I thought I was signing up to doesn’t actually exist, well not in a forceful form for spreading good in a world that has all but abandoned ethics.

I think the OST (Overseas Season Ticket) is no longer available but I had to stop buying it when it became obvious in 2015 the ideal (idol ?) I had signed up to had feet of clay.

One of the reasons for persisting with Res12 was the hope that the club I thought was created to do the right thing would be true to its birth right, so I could feel the same way about it, so in a way my personal Res12 motivation was selfish.

However I/we don’t need to throw the baby out with the bath water, the other good things in the article are still there and my Costa Del Sol local is a great place to watch the games with really good company and I mean good.

It was the ethics that to me justified calling ourselves more than a club and by God the support are more than a support.

Perhaps the division between The Board chaps and the support is a disconnect between what the support feel at a spiritual level were doing the right thing isn’t always easy but is always worthwhile and the Board being of the world?

  13. See awe this, ethics, ethos, liaison officer etc,……

You could be as well served with, smoke, mirrors, dark arts.

Being forever the diplomat, sometimes, sometimes, there will be the occasions were, the gloves have to come off. This is one of those times.

I’ll put my cards on the table. And they say….

…”Resolution 12, will not be able to produce the result that it deserves, without it being backed up by, 000’s of empty seats inside Celtic Park. Empty seats is the only method that makes the PLC board’s arse’s click into gear, al la, the 30,000 empty seat’s, that made the PLC recruit Brendan!”

As a practicing Catholic from Baptism, I have an ideal concept of the Church.

However, as I have aged I have realized that it is organized by men.

Men with human foibles, personal ambitions and in many cases naked greed.

Accepting that, I have to put aside these imperfect prelates, priests and predators.

I think about the people who brought me here and their faith.

Likewise Celtic has been a central core in my life, and I have the example of those who first took me to Celtic Park to see Fernie, Evans, Collins and Higgins.

    Can I abandon them?

Can I abandon those that brought us here through adversity and prejudice?

    No way.

We will never be the establishment side, but we will be, in fact are, the greatest force in modern day Scottish football.

It has not been done by single actions but by an accumulation of initiatives, some unsuccessful, others wildly successful.

Let’s not scratch the small sores, but rejoice in the whole body.

Never cared much about Kojos views on politics, race or Irish people, although the man was a devout Christian.

He reminded me somewhat of the late, great JFK – when Kojo spoke, people paid attention and listened.

Can just picture Kojo, the great orator, only his speeches being delivered in that remarkable Scottish vernacular as opposed to Kennedys Boston tones.

  25. Brendan & co really need to call out the cheating sfa and their ref brothers. I can think off the top of my head a potentially game changing decision going against us in practically every domestic game this season.

If it wasn’t for these we could be looking at a 100% win record. Contrast this with the sevvies where the game changing decisions tend to go in the opposite direction.

CQN practically unusable on an iPhone. Constantly having to switch JavaScript on and off.

  29. AULDHEID @ 4:00 AM,

Great post and excellent response GG @ 5:35 AM…

The values and ethics of Celtic Football Club have been lost to a PLC Board… Auldheid pointed out a book that highlighted difficulties business structures present to Football Clubs, it is all too easy when using the PLC structure to manage and control a sporting organisation to fall into the “Titanium Metals” trap…

This is exactly where Celtic PLC Board have ended up.

Res12 is a microcosm of what went wrong in our game. Was this UEFA licence cheat as big as the side contracts cheat? No. Was the sums involved in the WTC in line with the BTC? No. We are talking 5-6% of the BTC.

The thing that was great about the wrongdoing that the Res12 ghuys focussed on was…

It was not owned by the authorities.

    No SFA Inquiry

    No SPL Commision

    No police fraud investigation

    No Tax Tribunal…. etc etc

No, the Res12ers had a prima facie case and a smoking gun. With no “investigation” to hide behind, kicking cans down the road.

Of course ironically that’s just what happened to it… and it was “ours” that facilitated the can kicking – tragic:((((

The fact is though, the Celtic PLC Board seemed to treat this as a business issue first an issue of sporting integrity later.

    It’s what PLC Board’s do.

They looked at gains that could be made by pursuing Res12 v damage done to business partners.

The SFA, the SP(F)L, the Rangers franchise etc are some of Celtic PLCs business partners.

This model is not congruent with running an elite Football Club, so many examples, not just Res12, we all could see what happened during the summer’s transfer window. This is why the Celtic business model has to be restructured.

    Let me elucidate…

If you look at Celtic’s organisational structure, at the top you will have a long rectangular box with…

    —————-CELTIC PLC————–

    Below several perpendicular silos…

    1. CELTIC Football Club

    2. CELTIC Foundation

    3. Operations and Administrations

    4. Strategic Planning and Development etc etc

Of course the relationships between the PLC and each of the silos are different in legal and financial terms but in broad brush stroke terms that’s where we are. It’s why we think and act like a PLC.

Now how I believe it should be structured is something like this.

Inside the long rectangular box at the top should be…

    —–CELTIC FOOTBALL CLUB——-

    The perpendicular silos

    1. Football Operations

    2. CELTIC Foundation

    3. CELTIC PLC Financials, Operations and Administion etc

    4. Strategic Planning and Development etc

That way we can start thinking and acting like a sporting organisation, an elite Footballing one, one that’s more than just a Club…
