Another Hamilton cross is long
FT 1-0
Bright start deteriorated to Hamilton level
3 Points but turgid!!!
First half we were okay but not clinical, second half was dire
Three points, all that matters.
Cruising first half, tempo dropped, more scrappy second half.
We welcome the chase
That will do Celtic.
On to Stade Rennes now.
CELTIC
CELTIC
Six point lead. Well done Bhoys.
well done celtic. rennes the big one now – and they are decent
Instantly forgettable game. Poorest domestic performance to date in the second half. Of such 3 points are championships won.
Onwards ……
50 league goal James Forrest secures our 3 points and ensures 100% start to league campaign.
Thank feck for that, those points could be crucial come the
end of the season.
Thank you all for the updates ghuys, off to bed now, well
maybe a wee rid biddy first 8-))
H.H Mick
FT 1-0 hoops started well ,took the foot off the gas after 30 mins with an eye on rennes ,not as convincing as it should have been but satisfied with three points, onwards and upwards COYBIG
Forrest makes the difference again.
100% winning start to the season continues…but that was a game to forget…3 points…we move on
H.H.
3 points, unbeaten top of the league, no injuries (Ajer?). First 30 minutes fantastic and then spent the rest of the game trying to walk it into the goal at walking pace. Luckily Accies are dire. 2 shots on target is poor.
Take the3 points, poor fare on show.
Aman was his funniest yet on Radio Clyde last Night.
It involved a Granny and a Superman winning Scotland the World Cup.
glad for the 3 pts but that was a struggle , poor fare from us , we seemed to lose our way as the game wore on especially in the second half, poor performances from SB , CmcG and RC .
The plastic pitches shouldn’t be allowed in the premier league as they are a leveller.
I wouldn’t judge the players or performance When playing on those dreadful pitches, won the game job done
even plastic pitches need watered and Hamilton’s wasn’t- we much prefer a slick surface.
3 Points for a win- that;ll do!
awful lot of talk of this “old firm” match- big Mick started it early doors – really get angry at this!
Hard fought win.
There remains , however , the issue of ” putting the game to bed “.
Lenny will have noted that and will for sure be taking the appropriate action.
The ship remains on course.
Matin1980…let them gibber on….it gives thems relevance…I just laugh inside…although am dissapointed wee Jamsie didn’t correct the interviewer and say not Old Firm…but Glasgow Derby ;-))
Ffs i must av watched a different game.
Well done SB CMG.
Away fur a beer

” Turgid also frequently appears in sports writing to denounce slow and uninspired play, but torpid would usually make more sense in these cases. ”

I’m guessing g tbat most folks’ 3 best players may well be based on the first half performance;-)
CQNPOTY@GMAIL.COM
Not much to pick out of that.
Up against:
Ugly pitch.
Ugly team witb ugly dirty players.
Ugly conditions.
Hamilton would have football banned.
It’s a win. 3 points.
Real football starts Thursday. I’ll be watching and hoping that mob today get relegated this season and we’ve one less monstrosity to play on.
International break, new players fitting in and I must emphasise again – a dreadful plastic pitch on a very windy day made for a scrappy 2nd half. Still, 3 points, clean sheet and I hope no more injuries.
Again I say that if the SFA / SPFL want to do some basic root and branch review of Scottish football, get rid of the plastic surfaces for Premier League clubs who must decide whether they are a top tier outfit or a community club making a few quid during the week.
How does it reflect on our top League if 25% of the teams have plastic pitches never mind the toll it takes on top professional players and the style of football supporters have to endure on days like today.
Anyway, rant over and happy to be 5 wins out of 5 at the start of the 9iar season Now forward to a tough match in Rennes Thursday.
Just checked the table 😄
ADI DASSLER
Yes, it’s all in the eye of the beholder, i’ll watch it tomorrow morn.
and still be glad of the three points.
Well done the bhoys.
H.H Mick
I just want to forget I ever watched that game. Artificial pitches for top tier football is a disgrace. How can we hold on to the likes of Eddie & Co when they have to put up with days like this 6 or 7 times a year.
I’m just delighted the game is over and we got the 3 points , I’m struggling to pick 3 man of the match nominees. Maybe Elhamed, Jamsey & Boli or maybe just put all the names in a hat & draw out 3.
THELURKINTIM- I know- they just appeared to be on overdrive today- even rice was at it!
No excuses for pitch, international break, staleness or anticipation of Rennes game come Thursday.
We started off well, scored, played some good stuff, but then allowed ourselves to be dragged down to Hamilton’s level.
We should have been able to tie this game up in the first 30 minutes.
We had enough ball and a better class of player to do so.
Calum needs a wee seat on the bench for a game.
As down Brown. Both have played too much football.
So is it
15pts from a possible 15pts 👍👍👍
An example of the impatial reporting from the BBC on today`s game:
`Alston was only a couple of yards too high with an effort from the edge of the box …`
ONLY a couple of YARDS !!!!!
If a couple of yards off taget is worthy of being described `only`, then my putting was wonderful this morning.

Positives
1) 3 pts won
2) Elyounoussi looks to have good technical ability. He made his assist look easy – he put cross into right area (after looking up and seeing James’s run) at the right height for Forrest to tap in.
We seen too many cross balls thrown in at knee height. James had the ball placed at his feet to tap home.
3) Rogic got some game time.
Negatives
1) despite talk of being more direct, we, again, tried to walk the ball into the net during our 1st half domination. We only had 1 (yes only 1) shot on target during that 1st half that we totally dominated!! (and we scored from THAT one shot – hint, hint).
2) Lennon’s tactical naivety – Why did he take off a wide man, and replace him with Rogic?? I hardly seen Christie touch the ball from then onwards until he was subbed. Clueless?
3) Lennon’s tactical naivety (2) – why watch that second half performance and not be able to proactively change things to the teams benefit?
I know…a win is a win, and the pitch was absolutely dire…. but we should have done better than that, imo
HH
CQN POTY choices
James for achieving 50 SPFL goals.
Elhamed for his composure and willingness to get down the wing a couple of times.
AJER for his tenacity and will to win every ball.
I could have include Fraser for his impeccable handling but that would be stretching it a bit.
League table looks splendid….providing added levels of squeaky bum to the MSM’s establishment team from Govan….
Mon the Livi….
Hot Smoked
`Alston was only a couple of yards too high with an effort from the edge of the box …
I dont know why but i laughed out loud at that
😂
Now do I have a wee nap to compensate for my early morning rise?
Or
Do I watch more football?
Or
Do I finish off the hall painting I started last night?
Hmm.
Suggestions, which I will check as soon as I finish my nap.
