HAPPY BHOY BOYATA

DEDRYCK BOYATA has revealed it has been “easy” for him to fit in at Celtic because the team’s style of play suits him perfectly.
The new signing strolled through his first match against Den Bosch and he was happy that he and Virgil van Dijk have clicked so quickly.
The 23-year-old Belgian centre-back declared himself delighted with his first few weeks as the Hoops build up to the first leg of the Champions League second round qualifier against FC Stjarnan on July 15.

He said: “I was happy to win the first game. It was hard at the beginning, but I thought we played well. I thought we won with something to spare. We have worked a lot this week on how the team will play and I think I got a lot of information at once. The way we play suits me.

“I think I can deal with it. I don’t think it will be difficult. I like the way we play, so that makes it easier.

“My partnership with Virgil is good. We have still to play a lot of games, but the first match went well. We will analyse the game to see what we can do better.”

Afterwards, Ronny Deila remained tight-lipped over whether there would be any more signings.

He said: “We will see what happens. Maybe it will be Christmas! We are working on different things, but we are trying to build a team this season. We have a lot of consistency and that is why we have done so well.

“The players who are here, they are the ones who will be most important for us.”

Deila was impressed with the way his players performed against Den Bosch in Paisley.

He added: “There was some good play, especially in the first-half and I was happy with the game.”
