HAISSEM HASSAN played for an hour in Egypt’s goalless draw with Angola in the Africa Cup of Nations last night.
The £9million Celtic winger made a surprise appearance just 24 hours after his national head coach Hossam Hassan had insisted the player was injured and required “intensive treatment,” as CQN reported.
The Hoops wide Bhoy showed no hint of a fitness problem when he lined up alongside former Liverpool star Mo Salah which made the comments from his international boss even more puzzling.
The day before the game, the 60-year-old manager had stated: “Haissem Hassan is receiving intensive treatment just now.

SUFFERING SAINTS…Haissem Hassan teases St Mirren’s Ismael Kabia during Celtic’s 2-1 victory in Paisley.
“He is a vital technical asset for our long-term vision, but his recent injury made it impossible for him to join us for this camp.”
Hassan is also expected to start against South Sudan on Tuesday in his country’s second game in the tournament, according to the Scottish Sun.
No explanation has been given for the mix-up, but the summer recruit’s 60-minute appearance will be welcomed by Hoops gaffer Martin O’Neill who is preparing to get the champions back on the rails after three consecutive defeats in eight days.
Celtic play Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday October 11 when the Premiership restarts after the international break.
