Hearts away troubles since August

358

You and I are preoccupied with winning tonight to ensure the gap at the top of the table does not grow beyond the four points it was before this round of games got underway.  Hearts have a different focus; a win would see them leapfrog Celtic into second place.

Early in the season Robbie Neilson was back at or near the top of the table, enjoying the kind of form Hearts showed before he left for MK Dons five years ago yesterday.  His stay in Milton Keynes was a disaster and Heats fared no better with a trio of underperforming managers appointed in his wake.

Form soon slipped, especially away from home, where they have picked up only three points since August, half the amount they collected that month.  Since then they have lost at Motherwell and Aberdeen, while collecting a point at Newco, Ross County and St Johnstone.

I’ve read through match reports for the last two months, it is a tale of attacking abandon at home and belligerent negativity away, marked by red cards on their previous two travels.  We can expect shed loads of belligerence tonight.

They did, of course, beat Celtic 2-1 on the opening game of the season, but that was then.  Celtic have changed beyond all recognition in the months since, notably as Tynecastle debutant, Kyogo, settled into life in Scotland.  Two weeks later Celtic produced one of the most scintillating displays of the season to knock Hearts out of the League Cup, although the 3-2 score suggests otherwise.

Celtic are closing in on full strength going into an intense December fixture list.  If we deliver on our own potential, we don’t need to worry about referees elsewhere.  3 points please, Celtic.

  1. lets all do the huddle on

    hmm,

either the west side of the north stand

or the west side of the south stand (the dearest seats)

i think it must be the west side of the north stand as you say, or more likely the bit above the south stand over the hibs side of it which we have had plenty of times

clearly they had deliberately held them back for the expected backlash from the original split

  2. Would like your thoughts, if you saw Ange being questioned about Julien at his presser.

Asked if there was a timescale for his return and he just answered no…..

Ange seemed annoyed, not sure if it was at the question or there was something more to it/

    Thoughts appreciated….

imo julien will decided when he is available.

I have been told in the past from a person who works in SFA ticket and debenture department (actually a nice old fella and definately not anti-celtic in any way) , that they release tickets to the finalists in batches depending on their requested number, but not over the segregation line (halfway line)

the debenture seats, the top deck of the south stand, dont get allocated. in theory these are taken up by their “owners”.

celtic get their requested number , going anti clockwise, J1 round to D1.

the other team, in this case hibs, would get their 17,000, from the halfway line and round to the middle of the Old Rangers end (who died, and we should rename this area),

with half rangers end, and half the north stand distributed once Hibs sell out (or not).

We have taken up seats right into the middle line of the huns end often.

the west debenture seats (bronze) , unless Hibs fans know rangers or scotland supporters with their debenture kindly buying a ticket and passing it on (unlikely) will be reallocated to one of the teams a week or so before the game.

centre south stand is all corporate hospitality and silver/gold debentures access to the lounges.

Player, medical team should decide, 100%.

Wasn’t disputing that, was just concerned by his tone and manner, that’s all.

  6. Dundee United game on with reduced capacity, i think main stand is closed, which means less Celtic supporters….

  7. lets all do the huddle on

“Dundee United have today confirmed that, following storm damage being caused to the Jerry Kerr Stand, it will now be closed for the match this Sunday, December 5, 2021, which will regrettably mean a number of Celtic supporters are unable to attend the match.

think julien is still in a huff over Duffy.

    and ST TAMS

try following the guy on twitter, he is desperate to get back playing, and his journey through serious injury was painful to watch.

unless of course he was just kiddin on, like the mysterious back injury.

maybe he deliberately crashed himself into a post just to make the point he wasnt happy with duffy being there.

  13. I can assure you that I would like Julien back ASAP , as he’s the best centre half at the club.

But there was something quite not right about his back injury
