Hearts first of 5 big games left

586

Fixtures between now and the end of the season fall into two categories: games between Celtic, Aberdeen and Hearts, and the rest. Aberdeen and Celtic each have to play Hearts home and away, while the only remaining fixture between the top two will take place at Celtic Park.

Despite the last minute turn-around and Aberdeen’s collapse two weeks ago, we are still very much in a title race which a reversal tomorrow would illustrate. Aberdeen don’t play until Sunday, so, as with two weeks ago, they will have to sit on wait on Celtic’s result. Derek McInnes will have marked this game out weeks ago as one he needs Celtic to drop points in.

Celtic have a settled look about the side. The goalkeeper and defenders have settled into good form, while a fully fit Brown and Bitton anchor the midfield. With Leigh Griffiths up front it’s the three places behind the striker Ronny Deila has to make decisions for.

Kris Commons enjoys playing against Hearts and has not been exerted by international football, he should play. Unlike Tom Rogic, who will surely sit out after his trip to Australia. Your guess is as good as mine as to who will play on the flanks.

I’m reading the exchanges between, Kill Ultra/Big Nan on one side & Auldheid, BRTH & Canamalar on the other with a degree of incredulity. It has shades of the start of the Irish Civil War & The Treaty negotiations about it.

I don’t know any of the above 5 but I have no doubt that they are all great Tims and are sincere & genuine in their beliefs.

I believe all of them want exactly the same result but at this stage personal hurt & perceived insults have poisoned the exchanges.

    ………………………………………

Football takes precedence today Corkcelt but if you could highlight my insults or poisonous exchanges I would be obliged, and respond later.

Will be a tough game today and our bhoys will be ‘leggy’ from international duty. Our big Danish defender is lucky to have both legs to be leggy with. Shocking tackle. Take it that Strachan hasn’t condemned this as his man is a great lad in the dressing room with his teammates?

Anyway here’s hoping for a win of any sort today.

PS If you know the history: 100 years ago yesterday CELTS UNBEATEN RUN CONTINUED, JOHN McLEAN CHARGED WITH SEDITION, MURPHY KICKS OUT IN DUBLIN & HUNS BOMB THE ‘SCOTCH’ COAST

  5. 100%, Corkcelt,

To be honest I have given up reading the exchanges and will continue to wish the 4 lads all the best.

    Big game today!

  7. I’m one guy ,who wishes the res12 bhoys all the luck in the world . And I hope the detractors don’t put you off . The governance of Scottish football needs cleansed from top to bottom ,and honest people like the late turnbull Hutton with a love for fairness for all in the game installed . So I wish the bhoys all the best . Go get them lads .

Wits . Sorry mate I missed your horse tips , any chance of a repost

  8. So he’s gone for ‘tried and tested’ and, in defence, two CBs who know the 4-2-3-1 ‘system’.

Like Rogic behind Griffiths. That’s about it.

I foresee problems, mainly at CB and down our left side.

Roberts still a relatively unknown quantity – played badly v Kilmarnock but the surface didn’t help. Could he make the difference today?
