Please somebody tell me that I’m wrong. Did I hear that little sh*t, walker say, “Cheating is part of the game”?
Lightweight midfield means we’re relying on the long ball game. Can only assume Brendan has his eyes on some reinforcements in the middle of the park. Their keeper and centre halves look shaky to say the least. A decent second half performance should see us home with 3 points, MIB permitting.
Does our manager see the game as we do Ffs McGregor and Armstrong have shown him on plenty opportunities they havnae got it and are far too lightweight … Get som muscle in the midfield man !!!
Shocking load of rubbish. Only Forrest and Brown get pass marks. Suicidal defending which led to the dive for the penalty. Tao sclaffs. If that was Ambrose he would be getting pelters on here.
McGregor too lightweight, Amstrong posted missing. Dembele and Griffiths? Shocking miss by Griffiths twice in the first half.
Need changes at half time. Take any of the two aforementioned midfielders off and brind on Sinclair.

The referee hesitated for 5 seconds, just like a Shortbread commentator before announcing a goal to us. Would we have got the penalty if Jamesie had missed or it had been saved?
Their penalty award is up there with the one awarded at CP to the exploding egg victim.
Seems like they can’t help themselves in their rush to even things up, must be the way they’ve been programmed.

Brown and Forrest playing well. Dembele still a bit too over anxious to impress, Leigh surely has to convert one of these chances eventually. Armstrong completely ineffectual against Hearts physical players.
Sky showing penalty again, even McCann says it was a dive.
Unbelievably McCann says it’s a valid goal and wasn’t a pen. Well I never.
Be interesting to see how Beaton reacts in the second half when he realises that he has been conned at the penalty.

We always knew this would be a tough opening game and it always gets physical when we go there.
Two thoughts:
Will the diver for their penalty now be hounded in the media, cited by the SFA and penalised with a two game ban as Boerrigter was a couple of years ago.
Is it Andy Walkers job role or demeanour that renders him unable to elicit any joy from a Celtic performance.

A honest assessment.
He called the Hearts player a cheat.
That`s a big call.
We are wanting to play football hearts want to make it a kicking match, MD needs to up the pace, get more involved in the game , he looks very laid back and flat footed.
Just go and destroy them 2nd half Celtic
Poor performance against a poor Hearts team. Midfield non existent (apart from Brown), defence shaky (apart from Toure) and Griffiths not taking his chances. Forrest, Brown, Toure, Gordon and Dembele all playing well, the rest need to turn up.
Might be a good idea to bring Johansen on to give Brown a hand in the middle.
Generally poor performance thus far from the bhoys. We are lacking an out ball and the team minus Paddy R seems bereft of attacking ideas. We are also carrying a couple of passengers that Brendan needs to address for the 2nd period. Hopefully we can look forward to seeing Sinclair in action soon. That being said an absolutely dreadful decision to award Hearts the pen. No contact at all. Let’s see if there is any action taken against the hearts player for ‘cheating’ or as it is euphemistically referred to ‘simulation’?
What is Armstrong for? Strong he is not. Too lightweight and lacking in commitment. McGregor not much better. That is where our real problems lie. Let’s hope we get Sinclair on PDQ.
What could be a good game being spoiled by a strong wind and a weak ref.
Ref gave the pen via the linesman.
We should have enough to lift the three points, especially after danger man Watt gets subbed.
Tanner, McCann and Walker were the reason I binned Sky. They must be losing a fortune because of that threefold

We’re by far the better team. There are too many ready to criticise our players. As far as I’m concerned, every player is trying hard, maybe not always successful but getting better with each performance. Forest looks like a player again and Brown is playing really well. We can beat Hearts and the cheating officials!
Overall I think the players have performed well. But Armstrong and McGregor have not.
They need to put in a shift,the midfield is getting tanked which means the defence are overworked and the attack foraging for scraps.
But for a shocker penalty we would be in front. But we are not.
Fix it. Stick wi the players and trust them to do their bit or mix it up wi two new faces by the hour mark?
BR will know.
With McGregor and Armstrong we have a very workmanlike engine room. Oh for a Paul McStay!

We need more of a pressing game up front. Hearts defenders are no that good but we’re making it easy on them, need to take the mib out of the equation
