Yesterday was very satisfying on so many levels.

Hammering Levein and his cronies Naismith and MacLean, while wee Barry’s bhoy beat his deid team was the icing on the cake.

    Thank you, Celtic.

    ===============

It was a bit of a Karma Sunday for sure.

Glad to see Christie becoming the sort of player I thought might be in him.

Nice to see Sinclair becoming menacing again, still not convinced by Kouassaiin spite of his audition for The Nutcracker Suite but saw some signs he might be worth persevering with.

Also agree with Jobo Balde, I’m happy to be spared the “old firm “hoo ha in next 5 weeks,

    Karma played a blinder.

And so the Rodgers machine goes through the gears and sweeps aside yet another domestic opponent in a big game.

At the end of the day Hearts’ Edinburgh venue advantage was not enough to outweigh Levein’s limited tactics and Celtic ran out comfortable winners. At least Ann Budge would have got back home in time for tea.

And Steven MacLean got his wish of seeing a team getting gubbed in a game involving Celtic. Although I don’t think he was supposed to be merely a spectator.

The final will be against Aberdeen who beat Steven Gerrard’s StevenGerrardsRangers. Particularly sweet for Derek McInnes who was told by the Ibrox club less than a year ago that he “wasn’t ready” for the manager’s job there. Presumably he hasn’t mastered the art of signing 14 players and then demanding new ones because they aren’t good enough…..

And so the media will not have their dream “old firm” (sic) final. No Gerrardiola v Rodgers. No interview with Nikica Jelavic about how his goals won the “same club” (sic) it’s last (sic) major trophy. Nae luck lads!

  3. 50 shades of green on

    Some quality stuff yesterday.

Scottie Ryan and Big Fil all tremendous, Scott Bain apart from one dodgy pass to CAL Mac was excellent with the ball at his feet, and our favourite Sweed who managed to finish that game with no legs ( cause they’ve gone) was amazing.

Fans were bloody brilliant before during and after.

But for me the man of the match has got to be, the guy who cuts the grass, he was a game changer if you ask me ?.

O and just to add to the joy I’ve never seen the jambo support looking so shell shocked since Albert Kidd day.

Great to see that smug expression wiped from Levein’s coupon post match. He was as graceless as ever in interview and at one point looked as if he was going to burst oot greetin.

    And as for Naeclass.

    Karma ya fuds!

  5. Starry Plough…..happy birthday pal have a braw braw day….

  8. Won’t have escaped anyone’s notice that the fixture fiasco of the Betfred backfired spectacularly on the SFA

Sevco and Jambo the two assisted clubs, gubbed, we get another clean Sevco free Hampden final, where football put the animals back in their cage.

So much for Brendan Rodgers tactical naivety slaughtered since Thursday, Celtic quietly get on with our business and its voila treble yell.

    Plus ca change csc

  9. Only thing i didn’t like about Murrayfield was going through 3 bottle necks

in gates and bridge on way out.

Really poor design for football crowd.

Maybe ok for rugby but keeping fans apart meant most Celtic fans were going through these.

Best bit was after watching huns game in a bar near Haymarket getting train about 7:15

which arrived in Queen street with ??? 500 hoops fans on it and being confronted with Sheep and huns fans behind a police line.

    “Oh the Rangers are Sh1te”

    : > )

Sheep fans were highly amused orcs were as always raging

    BSR,

I had the same thought re the venue shenanigans.

Korma, as they say in the Koh-I-Noor.

Brendan is untouchable in Scotland. Europe?

  11. STARRY PLOUGH, TEUCHTER AR LA, DAVID66, BIG PACKY, and MAH

    great to see your post.

Sorry i’m just getting back to you ghuys after my Charlottes Day

    post, had to go out.

We truly are a unique club and if the name Celtic was admired and

respected here it is certainly revered now on the peninsula into Melbourne

    and beyond.

All the credit goes to our hard working CSC committee and president

Paddymacoz but he will really have to learn a new song, i’m fed up with

Aw ra ragers are shoite… aw ra ragers are shoite…… naw am no really 8-))

    H.H Mick

    p.s happy birthday Starry.

  12. Phone chat with Hertz pal — home and away for decades .

Said their support was louping with thrill seekers who would have struggled to name a Hertz player and more worryingly, oot their nuts neds who weren’t remotely interested in the game but who were h enjoying the opportunity to behave like prats in public .

Lunchtime on a humid cloudy day -way down south. Your lunchtime choon –

  15. The Rangers International Football club’s marketing department are hailed as visionaries !

With ten minutes left in their League Cup semi-final tens of thousands of their fans were heard quoting the fabulous slogan – ” Lets Go ! ” as they trudged towards the exits.

  16. TFOD2.1 yesterday — they looked a good U20 team but they lacked a winning instinct.

Lots of good play when they got the luck and the break of the ball.

However when things evened out they started to go into the shell.

The sheep were good defensively — soaked up quite a bit of pressure at times — but they lack a level / quality finishing when going forward.

SMcK — Interesting player with a big future.

Interesting counterpoint to our two young CBs — make that 3 as JH is still in the hunt.

Looks a better player than JS at Hertz.
