  1. Well done the Hoops. Get the keeper a unnet and old leather boots a d hoof the ball up the park. Think Lustig betterat right back and Edouard always starting with Ollie out wide.

  3. Dexter P. Bampot on

Mega win tonight. Great quality at the end by Skoosh and French Eddy.

Brown was great again. Burke was excellent and I thought more effective on the wing. Eddy should be back in from the start. Toljan was good but he’s a little lightweight at times and they certainly targeted him aerially in the 2nd half. We have missed KT’s overlapping and Bitton did well for someone only coming back.

SS was quiet again. Hopefully he can regain some consistency.

Boyata nearly sold the jerseys again but was largely ok. Bain had little to do.

The 2nd half was poor tho. I thought from they scored until ours there was a lack of urgency from the Bhoys and perhaps a settling for a point. When Burke or Jamesy went for the byline, we got results and simply didn’t exploit their pace enough.

But I suppose given the week that’s in it, the result is everything.

  5. Lurkin, No laps tonight but there was a bit of a Zulu dance with plenty of fist pumping as Mrs, Corkcelt just shook her head in resignation,

  6. OMG — that was a bit too close for comfort.

The budget for a new manager / coach needs to be doubled because we need the coaching.

Some of our play in the second half against 10 men was shocking.

Four players hanging about the centre circle without an idea between them.

Allowing Hertz to settle with their two banks of four and await the stodge we were playing.

However it was a huge win.

    So onwards and upwards.

But SB is struggling and NB needs counselling as well as coaching.

JF played for 30 minutes and ScS needs to play closer to the middle.

His work out on the wing was so limited that it was a waste to give him the ball.

Consequently huge amounts of work required.

BR has left a squad lacking in confidence, spontaneity and flair.

    We currently attack by numbers.

  7. Big Georges Fan Club - Hail, Hail, Wee Oscar on

Just back to The Plains – that was mental :-)))

We are so chuffed for Neil – delighted. KT and Broonie were going nuts at the end – fabulous !!!

  8. I was feeling a bit ill tonight. My nerves were shattered watching the game.

I logged on here to see the comments and switched off the TV.

I thought this site is always lucky in the last few minutes of the game.

Thanks Celtic Quick News ! You were the lucky charm again.

    All hail NFL !!!!!

My nerves are slightly less shredded. God bless the Celts !!

  9. When we managed to self destruct and throw away our lead I said that this was Rodgers'(I’ll never utter his forename again) legacy to us. Thank God we managed to nick the winner!

We’ll not have a tougher league game than at Tynecastle. Let’s hope we are not forced to go there again for a third time. It could happen!

24 hours ago I was in the depths of despair. I felt totally empty and desolate. It was like a death in the family.

Then I came on here. After spending about two hours reading all the posts on here my resolve was stiffened and by the time I went to bed I was completely over the departure of a man who I now consider to be the slimiest snake ever to slither away from our club – MoJo included.

We don’t know what the future holds. Let’s hope we can secure this treble treble which is now within touching distance. I’m not convinced Lenny is the long term solution but he has 14 cup finals to negotiate. If he came through these undefeated then I would probably give him the gig full time.

  10. i'vehadtochangemymind on

Loved it when lennie grabbed Ajer’s throat at the end.om the pitch, and said ‘don’t worry, it wasn’t your fault’

  11. Its a good read of all the comments tonight, well done to all involved, welcome home Neil Lennon.

    Brilliant. Thanks.

  12. I thought we were very flat all night,we never imposed the man advantage, we done what champions do,and the huns are uber sick, fantastico.A tough couple of days for us all,the celebrations at the end were significant IMO.We can let the dust settle, get Lenny around the players and on the training pitch. Hibs are on a bounce with their new manager, Neil will have the inside track on them too,but we have to be better on the ball and move it quicker. Mitigating stuff is no McGregor, Christie, Ntcham, Rogic,to create in midfield, so could be same 11 to start on Saturday.

  13. If the club does complete the Treble Treble, and wins 10 in a row – I dare say that history will be kind to Brendan Rodgers.

In all fairness he has left the club in a remarkable position to potentially achieve some unique, and unparalleled domestic success.

And let’s be honest – if he wasn’t such a good manager, none of us would have been overly fussed about his departure.

Furthermore it would be magical if Lenny achieves the objective.

    HH. ?

  14. Sinclair takes too many touches and is slow to release the ball – needs to get give and go! at times in there 2nd half we looked like a deila team. All our midfield creativity was injured and I thought forrest looked indifferent tonight (albeit huge effort from him).

    amazing result and huge psychologically!

PS I was sad to see Henderson come off – he looks the part and has a bit of guile and vision to see movement. I hope he doesn’t fade out of selection.

You’d do well and man up. Brendan Rodgers delivered 7 out of 7 domestic trophies and set us up perfectly for 8 and 9. I’m glad it’s Neil Francis Lennon that’ll be squirming der Huns neck under his boot this season, next season, and the season after that ad infinitum.

The sooner some of you so called Celtic men dry yer eyes the better.

  17. 16 roads. Rodgers would have left if we were 10 behind, 1 behind, even, or 8 ahead – Rodgers loves Rodgers!

  18. Silver City 1888 on

Manager on his second stint at the club, lots of last minute winners…. it’s like 1988 all over again.

  19. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

    Bada ..,

They played out their skin and should have been down to 10 men in the first 20 minutes, the sending off should have been the second. Hopefully the lilies rat is out for the rest of the season crippled himself trying to do us wrong, karma ?

    Yes.

    Unbelievably frustrating to watch.

  21. interesting that the whole benched jumped for joy and hugged at the first goal with one exception – Craig Gordon remained on his erchie

  22. So Happy for all our Celtic Family with that result tonight. The last day or so has been horrible.I can’t help it but I felt betrayed. If anybody can galvanise our club it will be Lennie. Stick together .Its the only way.God Bless The Glasgow Celtic.

    ———————————-

Suppose so, however he left us 8 points ahead, 7 consecutive trophies and last 8 of the SC.

I try to forgive, although I probably wouldn’t have written the above post had we dropped points earlier tonight.

Is there such a thing as selective forgiveness?

What he achieved domestically was phenomenal, and has never been done before.

    It’s written in history.

  25. Paddy- everyone has been through the wringer last 2 days, we got a result that champions get,the fans got a huge lift tonight. A couple of days to get set for Saturday now.

  26. average performance good win, great 3 points very important. I felt the itch hindered our football and we gave them a goal which was very preventable I am all for playing out from the back but not in our box and across an empty goal. They were as far from the beautiful game as you can get. Running around barging and jumping into Celtic players at every opportunity. We missed 3 of our best players and our best defender this season so don’t be too harsh on the team. That was a great feeling when we scored that what winning the league comes down 2, we have ground out 2 wins away from home at difficult grounds. mon the hoops cmon Lenny

  27. Supersutton and JJ (when you see it)…..

    building from the back…..good

    fancying aboot at the back….bad!

Brilliant win. Huge impact. This is how it feels to be Celtic.

  28. Don’t overlook Henderson’s pass in the build-up to the first goal.

How to turn defence to attack and take 6 opponents out of the game in one move .

    Vision perfectly executed.

Wee Hendo isn’t the Maestro. But the Maestro would have been proud of that pass!

  30. Lenny – “we some time bring pressure on ourselves by over playing”

I think we are on the same page now..

  31. agree Jamesgang he would have pass and also agree about fannying around there is a time to put the boot through it and a time to pass
