Live updates will (hopefully) appear below after 12:15.

Sorry for the downtime.  Server problems and I was out of the country this week.  Will respond to emails later – thanks to all who got in touch.  Never leave home, is probably the best advice.
Paul.

  1. Joe Hart was immense. Ange,s most influential signing.

Do we have a problem with his number 2 ?

I have been asking this question for yonks now. Resumed training, simple calf injury etc.

What a brilliant show today, but this is a blog snd we discuss all things Celtic.

And no, you’ll not find me in the kitchen at parties 🙂

We are so impressive that we must ask such questions.

    HH, the journey continues.

  2. Robbie Nillson….blames his team….zero credit to us….fuck that perennial loser

  3. GP…asked n answered re Joe Hart….not the best keeper in the world….but good enuff to keep for our defence confident ;-))

    H.H.

  4. Brilliant today. My standouts,CCV,Jota,Mooy,Hatate,AJ,Carl, and the Magic Mushroom,Kyogo. His movement is priceless to us.

  5. Hart save was fantastic, but we need to be looking at a goalkeeper, from somewhere, that can take his place, and be better all round.Big world out there.

  6. I Think we can safely say Hakabanavics and Abada are good sub players, also David Turnbull will be away in the summer, anyway a good result I had a feeling against Hearts that they might win ,Oh and Ange in whom we trust ,please ditch that drab looking suit which along with the girlTraining just doesn’t go .

  7. Don’t think Hearts are a bad team. They HAVE HAD terrible injury problems,so I will cut them slack. No use slaughtering the 3rd best we have. They, like Hibs,Don’s,etc, need to get better.Hearts with a full team, would be more formidable.Dont play the thick scum card, that the League is shit because we win it.

  8. Jobo final three. Maybe

CCV. Consistently calm and immovable. Then pops up with a goal. What a signing. How many pairs of slippers does he wear out over the season?

Hatate. He’s here. He’s there. He’s everywhere. Always a goal threat too.

Mooy. Has fast become a vital cog in the Ange machine.

  9. !!Bada Bing!! on

Rob MacLean “CCV sometimes sneaks under the radar”.

Ange “I don’t know about that. I’d say he’s the best defender in the league. If anyone disputes that I’m happy to put up an argument

  10. Guys

Our team is so impressive that we will attract interest from big money teams with very, very deep pockets.

One more assault on European football then let the vultures circle.

I am so impressed what Ange has put together, it will not go unnoticed.

But there can be no glass ceiling. Class is class and class is mega bucks. Unfortunately it’s the circle of football life.

We are so good that undoubtedly we attract attention.

Enjoy and make history. Unbroken history.

Is this the best squad since 1967. Is this the best manager since 1967 ?

    HH, the journey continues.

I’m glad Small was not on from the start, last game he definitely kept Jota quiet.

I thought it was reported that he only returned to Lennoxtown training this week, therefore a bit early to expect him back in the team.

As for a “simple” calf injury- who reported that?

  13. The Blogger Formerly Known As GM on

Bitter sweet for me today. Was flying back from Spain where I had the pleasure of meeting Deniabhoy and thought the game kicked off at 1.15. Touched down at 1.20 only to find I’d missed the first half. The consolation was we were 2 up😄😄😄 I was concerned about this game so delighted we strolled it and looking forward to stress free viewing of the replay.

  14. SFTB.

Quick question as I’m in a rowdy happy Celtic oriented boozer in Aberdeen.

How many minutes game time has our number 2 keeper had ?

    It is relevant

    HH.

  15. Well done Celtic and congratulations to Melbourne Mick on his podium 🥳🥳, Aaron Mooydric is some player btw 👏

  16. Just watched the second half looked well in control don’t think Hart had a save to make…….well done Celtic.

  17. Greenpinata on 11th March 2023 3:04 pm ,

GP – I’m absolutely Loving this Celtic team and I’m now 50 – I’ve still got so many bruises showing on my legs after jumping around so much and it started frae the train to Kings Park.

It is the best fitba Celtic Way team I have witnessed, hopefully it has that Ultimate.

Pretty sure the CL is a closed shop??? Ange wullnae be thinking that but a Euro Trophy would be very nice.

That was so easy this day.

    Robbie whats that you said?

  18. Is this the best squad since 1967. Is this the best manager since 1967 ?

    ————-

    Depth of squad, maybe,

I do think though, we can be in danger of talking up the current version of celtic because its fresh its today, for sure it is brilliant at times, and as ange says, gets better as the season goes on, but Martin and Brendan had periods were their teams were as dominant.

    Greenpinata,

He was shackled on Wednesday night and had to come infield because he was getting no joy down the line.

  20. I think Siegrist has played twice for Celtic,

I can remember thinking he looked better than Hart,

He has been injured for a few months, impossible to make a call on whether he is Celtic standard or not at this stage.

  21. Tom McLaughlin on

    KINGLUBO

Well done on your 3-0 Celtic correct score prediction today.

    Nice one.

  22. Saint Stivs,

Totally agree. The biggest regret of my Celtic life is Seville 2003. . The journey was amazing but we fell short. We all know what contributed to that.

I love MOM always will. His journey was amazing. Blackburn Anfield, wow.

I know guys on the ST waiting list for 4 years. Under Ange with this team theycan expect an even longer wait.

Again agree let’s not go Totally overboard. But it’s difficult not to. I’m so impressed.

    HH.

  23. Sorry Greenpinata- I don’t see the relevance.

Siegrist was no.2 until his injury. He was a regular on the bench in the CL and all league games till his injury. He got 2 matches in the early LC rounds but missed the semi and final as he was injured for those matches in Jan & Feb. Similarly he missed all 3 SC games which took place from Jan-March.

I am failing to see the mystery. How many games do we expect a no.2 keeper to play. Joe Hart was never injured

  24. SFTB

No problem we agree to differ. I would want our number 2 to be match ready with game time.

    HH.

  25. It is great to watch Celtic domestically under Ange but……

We have done nothing yet to say that we are as good as any squad from 66 to 74 or the squad under MON or even those that got to CL last 16 on 3 occasions.

Once this squad gets to that level, they will bear the comparison.

It’s going to be fun watching them try but we won’t be able to claim this status for the squad until they actually do it.

I am sure we all would but not an injured one cannot be match ready .

    ———————-

We would all prefer that but we don’t usually replace our number 1 in league or European games unless they were injured or suspended.

We could use cup games and Siegrist was used in the LC games when he was injured. He might have got further LC and SC outings if he had been fit for them.
