  3. 2-0 or 2-1 victory. That’ll do for me. As long as we don’t concede from a corner of course.

  5. Greenpinata, The Irish for whiskey/whisky is Uisce Beatha which translates as “Water of Life”. Not sure about Scot’s Gaelic.

sipsini, the normal Butchers Shop which is in the row ahead of the second row is advertising a very tasty sausage for consumption tonight.

Whilst I await the team news. The `impartial` BBC website preview starts by telling us of the Hearts players back from injury and now available then tell us that Forrest and Mulgrew are still injured and unavailable! It THEN tells us that Hearts have two injured players!

On Reporting Scotland, we are told of `shaky` Celtic and ` in form` Hearts .

Reality? Last five League games, `shaky` Celtic have won four and drew one. The `in form` Hearts have won two, drew two and lost one. So, winning two of five constitutes being in form! You have to laugh 0:-)

Of course Hearts could win tonight. That`s football but I sincerely hope the officials are more even – handed than the BBC !

  7. Celtic TV with Jim “It wasn’t a penalty” Craig commenting.

It’s great that we have these experienced Celtic legends like Jim and Tommy Blyd providing insightful comments.

Thunder Road and Mr G. Munro. Thank you both.

No surprises at all. Ronny obviously has confidence in the fitness levels of our players considering we have Aberdeen on Saturday. ACGR likes the philosophy of picking our strongest eleven for every game and, like Dougie in Para Handy, if he wass here, he would tell ye.

    Same language, different vernacular.

The problem Walter Scott had with the origins of the Scots in his Tales of a Grandfather. The history of Gaelic and the Gaels wasn’t a popular topic in post ’45 Scotland.

All a little too uncomfortable, it seems.

  10. Should be a good game tonight. Personally I would have had Commons central, Armstrong right and Johanson or GMS left, but what do I know?

Commons and Griffiths to find the net in a 2-0 win.

You’re welcome Sir. I often read your posts and nod my head in agreement. Mibbee if you were posting more like a rocket you’d draw more reaction!!!!

    ;-)

Gist of bbc shortbread tv buildup was…. ‘As Celtic players ran amok through Lennoxtown yesterday and in the wake of a squeaky bum victory at the weekend does Ronnie Deila need to beat a glorious hearts side by 12 clear jammy bassa Fenian goals tonight and bring North Korea back into the fold to save his job???’

Speaking of the Far East I’m getting pop-ups for a new Celtic website whose IP shows up as being in darkest Angus – Celtic Sweary News. Any yous getting it too?

I refer to my (abbreviated) list in my previous post.

BTW, Ronny’s League Cup win last year was our first since WGS. Lenny won 2 out of 4 Scottish Cups and zero League Cups. We’ve won 10 cups in 15 years, that’s 10 trophies from 30 attempts.

Tonight’s a Cup tie. You need to win them all. We win them all less than half the time. Betya we had the majority of possession in most of the ties we lost though.

    ———————————————–

Sorry I must have misunderstood – your original point seemed to be that we have lots of possession, don’t get enough goals from this and often concede. I’d expect Celtic to have good possession against most teams who set up to put everyone behind the ball. Almost every side sets up against us this way. I agree that it would be good to score more from such possession. Selecting low-scoring games doesn’t enhance your argument because its, well…selective. As others have pointed out – look at the whole picture and you’ll notice that we’ve only lost 9 goals in league and cup since the start of the season some months ago and scored a shitload more.

It’s a cup – we need to win all the game – well….duh!

  13. The intrepid Chick Young brings us the news that 2 Celtic players are injured during the pre-match warm up and will be replaced . Chris Commons appears to be one of them.

  14. @BarryAnderson_: Scott Brown has limped out of #Celtic’s warm-up. Looks like he won’t play against Hearts tonight but not confirmed. #HMFC #Live

  15. BBC reporting we have 2 players injured in the warm up and being replaced!!!!!!!!

How the blazes does that happen ?

  16. THE SPIRIT OF ARTHUR LEE on 28TH OCTOBER 2015 7:33 PM

Did somebody get injured in the warm up?

Brown & Armstrong so i’m hearing.

  17. Chick Young breathlessly updating his pre-match injurty scoop. Its Scott Brown who is now out being replaced by James Forrest . Chicko has rushed off to find out who the other injured Celt is.
