Hector scores to give Celtic commanding 14 point lead

428

Craig Whyte’s representatives have seen more court time than Andy Murray in recent months and were able to make the most of home territory at the Court of Session in Edinburgh today by gaining permission to appoint their own administrators, Duff and Phelps.

Scottish Premier League tables across the world will now be updated to reflect the new position which gives Celtic, who scrupulously pay all debts, a 14 point lead at the top of the table.

The hours and days ahead will be worrying times for the many employees of Rangers, not all of whom are on superstar wages, who await to hear if they still have jobs.  Worrying times also for suppliers to Rangers, including Glasgow City Council, Strathclyde Police and the many small traders, who will be asked to provide services if Saturday’s game at Ibrox goes ahead.

One final push (this week) for the Vanessa Riddle Appeal. We have a Celtic top signed by the first team squad available to auction on eBay. You can bid on the auction and help send Vanessa for the treatment she needs by clicking here. Thanks to Penfold for the donation and to Taggsybhoy for organising (yet again).

  1. F5 is worn out now, everyone playing a blinder this afternoon :)

Surely an administrator would cancel Saturdays game as they wouldn’t make any money from it so pouring money down the drain….empty drain

  2. Over the last couple of months I have urged caution and restraint on the ObSESSIVES. However, should it successfully translate into a posting, I consider today to be appropriate for publishing the text of a scurrilous piece that was gleefully being circulated by THEM in the mid 1990s when Fergus was sorting out the mess he had inherited.

  3. See the scumbag huns are resorting to type today.

If any of you receive a text/email with attachment from a hun you know – probably best just to delete.

    Likewise via FB.

Seen 2 already, wont be looking at any others.

Truly, truly truly hope they die…..preferably slowly and painfully courtesy of HMRC!

Not best pleased, unless HMRC are allowing the administrator the rope to hang themselves.

  5. Guess it lost something in the posting.

However, it shouldn’t be hard too hard to catch the drift.

I am getting worried, no work getting done and I keep bursting out laughing, do I need to see the doc !

Good move by hector if a little slow over the line. I assume that MBB would have this plan in place,ie his chosen administrators and that he ensures they can spin the administration out for months and frustrate Hector. However he seems panicked and in looking to sew up the appointment of Duff & Phelps he may be pi55ing in the proverbial sirocco thats heading his way. Live in hope Hector comes out on top.

Easiest 10 points for a while and from what a source, does any one know who scored ?

A big thanks to the cqn community. I have been in Aviemore for the weekend, always drive there, for some strange reason we took a train journey for the first time ever. The train journey has allowed me to read up on all the going ons re them due to this fantastic site. Cheers guys. The clock is ticking down to 3.30 on the fast train to Queen St.

That , for me , is the most distasteful event in all of their posturing.

The hypocrisy of it is simply mind blowing.

  13. Roses are red,

    Their tax stratedgy was corrupt,

    Violets are blue?

    And now they are fucked!

  14. Long time no post – i have been following the blog.

I thought that if a club placed themselves into administration they are deducted 10 points, but if someone other than the club (e.g. HMRC) places a club into administration they are deducted 15 points. That may be in England, but i am not sure.

  15. Paul67…..

Excuse my ignorance but the BBC says:

“These routes would involve Rangers’ assets being transferred to a new company or companies and the old club – formed in 1873 – being left behind with the unpayable debts. It would, almost inevitably, be wound up.

In these cases, HMRC, as an unsecured creditor, would receive very little if anything.”

Now, this sounds like good news for them. New clubs comes straight in debt free, the HMRC not getting paid and Rangers start afresh. Correct me if I’m wrong but this sounds like something we DON’T want happening…

  16. The Thousandaire is not the sort of person to let things like morality and legality get in the way of making money..

He might well now be in the position of being able to collect his money and departing the stage.

The Huns are in deep doo doo.

Shafted by The Thousandaire and shafted by HMRC

  17. I would imagine that some huns would view it as a victory if CW

    appoints his own administrator. lol

  18. glendalystonsils on

Don’t know much about these procedures (like Celtic I’ve always been an honest taxpayer) but can HMRC contest this decision and try to appoint their own

    choice of administrator?

The peepul are hopefully fecked either way.

If I remember correctly, it was some Irishman named Shaw who famously remarked to the effect that patriotism was the last refuge of the scoundrel.
