Craig Whyte’s representatives have seen more court time than Andy Murray in recent months and were able to make the most of home territory at the Court of Session in Edinburgh today by gaining permission to appoint their own administrators, Duff and Phelps.
Scottish Premier League tables across the world will now be updated to reflect the new position which gives Celtic, who scrupulously pay all debts, a 14 point lead at the top of the table.
The hours and days ahead will be worrying times for the many employees of Rangers, not all of whom are on superstar wages, who await to hear if they still have jobs. Worrying times also for suppliers to Rangers, including Glasgow City Council, Strathclyde Police and the many small traders, who will be asked to provide services if Saturday’s game at Ibrox goes ahead.
One final push (this week) for the Vanessa Riddle Appeal. We have a Celtic top signed by the first team squad available to auction on eBay. You can bid on the auction and help send Vanessa for the treatment she needs by clicking here. Thanks to Penfold for the donation and to Taggsybhoy for organising (yet again).

We really need to put this lazy journalistic view of what happened with Leeds and hold it up as a comparison ….. IT WAS NEVER COMPARABLE IN THE FIRST PLACE AND many many many factors have changed since 2007

‘I cant stand this nonsense about needing a strong Rangers.’
A strong huns would require no penalties being imposed at all.
A penalised huns would be too weak to provide an effective opposition to us.
Strathclyde’s Finest saying that unless they have a guarantee of payment for this weekend’s fixture AND future games, they may not police their games!
Still trying to get my head round possible outcomes before the next Rangerstaxcase blog entry. Should Rangers lose the ‘big tax case’, would HMRC still expect to recieve any money after other creditors are paid off? If Rangers lose the case and can’t pay all creditors are they then forced into liquidation? If Rangers Newco are formed can HMRC chase them for the outstanding balance?
I’m sure there are those of you out there who may be able to shed some light on this.

Thanks, man. You know sometimes, in my more reflective moments, knowing how one or two of my decent hun mates are feeling (we felt it all through the 90s of course) i think to myself yeh, it’s harsh, maybe the teddies are worth saving, proud sporting institution and all that.
But it only takes a short visit to youtube, facebook, twitter etc for the BJK/ Famine Song brigade to show their ugly coupons and remind us we were right in the first place.
Let them die. Scottish Football will thrive without them.
*-10 points ***********
Some fud on Sky News claiming the huns are the ”Worlds most successful football club”
Near swallowed my hat!
Of course I meant putting! ho hum
Oh and Duff? Like the beer mmmmmm
Strathclyde Police release statement to the effect that on Saturday they will not be there without money up front.
I think ERNIE LYNCH raised the point about public bodies allowing this bunch of charlatans a line of credit?
Belter,buddy.
The BBC have new story on the ‘history’ of RFC, but decide to ommit the details of 100 years of a sectarian signing policy

The appointment of Rangers Administrators and not HMRC’s administrators only means good things for Whyte not for Rangers one is as bad as the other from rangers fans point of view.
The administrators first job will be to alert agents that the entire squad (Fit) is available to the Russian Market, this might result in the cheap sale of McGregor and Davies to raise some quick capital to be able to host Saturdy’s game if not Kilmarnock will be awarded a 3-0 win.
Today is up there with the days my two boys were born
Is this the guy?
July 2011 re sectarianism
Central Ayrshire MP Brian Donohoe, secretary of the all-party Rangers group, said: “We should be on the offensive, not the defensive. Our record is there to speak for itself.”
A 29 point turnaround has to be some kind of record… Does anyone actually know of a bigger point turnaround?
A wee ditty for the next game at where ever we play THEM next.

Where does the assessment for the Big Tax Case come in now? Can HMRC now argue that the assessment is now due if they feel the company will be wound up prior to the FTT giving it’s decision?
….and the wee debt nutter poured himself a large malt, sat back in his favourite chair and let a rueful smile play across his face as he watched Sky Sports News!
God bless, Brian.

BBC yet to update the league table I see…
Posted earlier, but it’s been asked twice since:
THE RUSSIAN TRANSFER WINDOW CLOSES ON 24TH FEBRUARY
Paul67,BRT&H,BarcaBhoy,Phil,RTC,thanks for keeping us in the loop.
Sorry for whomever I may have missed out.
GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEAT DAY
Come on BBC….update that League table…….
We welcomed the chase!
Rangers will be lucky to survive at all and the reason is that Hector has chosen them to make an example of ( the english always try out their new stuff in Scotland first)
Once they have devastated the huns they will be sending out a message to the EPL big clubs who are all at it.
Message we won’t stand for this any more, football down south is out of control and someone has to say enough is enough HMRC step forward and who do they work for??
Good for us a Tims they chose the Huns for their test case..
Time for the CSA and CST to announce talks are being arranged to discuss potential actions by the support should the huns be liquidated.
Motherwell are 9pts behind Rangers with a game in hand.
Motherwell for 2nd spot?
