Here we go again!

133

This afternoon’s game is not about playing well or looking the part for the new season.  It is only about getting a result that helps us into the second round.  All of the pretty football and developmental signs we hope to see can wait.

Last year we started the same competitive journey a little closer, in Ireland.  More memorably, a year earlier, things kicked off in Gibraltar.  Ronny’s two campaigns both began in Iceland.  Although the game in Gibraltar was an anxious occasion, early European qualification games have only helped prepare the squad in recent seasons.

If we are to see these four qualification rounds through, we will have eight games in eight weeks.  Each an opportunity to pick up injuries and suspensions.  Let’s hope we come through today unscathed in both respects.

Here we go again!

    “Lip service. Believe me.”

Disingenuous again. You did state believe me.

I asked why one would believe you before putting their trust in a Director of the Catholic Parliamentary Office.

I believe in the work of Mr Horan.

Your opinion is exactly that. You are perfectly entitled to hold them.

I do particularly value it over the work of Mr Horan.

Btw, what have I to keep trying?

Does the Scottish Parliament have the same rules on petitions as Westminster, or can they just totally ignore petitions, regardless of size?

I actually do not have any idea if the Scots parliament rules on petitions are any different than Westminster. Regardless an impressive +42k individuals have put their name to a petition calling for an end to OO marches. One hopes that our politicians will not ignore it but the cynic in me believes that given the reticence of this, and previous, Scots government , to confront the issue head on that they will do a sum total of nothing. That is apart from uttering the usual platitudes.

Celtic should demand an apology from these idiotic, supposedly do-gooders…show the red card to ‘Show Racism the Red Card’.

I think you are probably correct regarding the team selection. It is a little troubling that the subs bench only features one sub for the back 3 (or 4), and, apart from Sinclair, is very inexperienced at this level.

As for the annoying and persistent Amazon ad, which I don’t believe is actually from Amazon, I have Ad-Blocker, and it precludes all pop ups, with the exception of this one on CQN.

Hebcelt, if you are lurking, I’m heading to the sunny Hebrides in early September. Perhaps you should alert the authorities?
