    3 of those 4 are club-trained players. Only Turnbull isn’t, but is trained in Scotland.

    and another thing what is all this crap about strips clashing and the away team has to change , where is the clash with the hoops, its a nonsense we where more in a clash with the officials than we would have been had we worn the hoops , just watched arsenal v sheff , you couldn’t get more of a clash with their strips and they didn’t change

    Accept my apologies for the language used and it wasn’t aimed squarely at you Gerry. About 3 or 4 posters absolutely slating the team, the subs, the manager etc for that result today. Just back in and catching up on the post-match blurb on here, which irked me.

     

     

    We can’t win every game and after a momentous effort like Wednesday, the players did well not to lose today.

     

     

    As our away run shows, we’ve had an amazing run away from home, and if we were to drop points to any of those teams, I’d rather that was Hibs.

    Usual scapegoats. Mikey J who hsd a good shot on target and was an improvement on Palma. Jamsie who smacked the bar witj a great volley .Why llook for scapegoats? Midfield gave nothing to Kyogo and others eg Maida wern’t up to scratch .

    Whether they should or shouldn’t have been they were and it cost us.

     

     

    With hindsight it was a mistake to play them again less than 72 hours after the end of the gave where every player ended up physically and mentally exhausted

     

     

    We wouldn’t have scored any fewer goals with a different starting line up. As Brendan said, we played better with the squad players in the team, but it was too late by then

    There’s been a lot of talk in the rugby about the advantages that having an extra recovery day gives, and how having an easier less physically demanding preceding game can make a big difference.

     

     

    I was sceptical, they get at least a week between games, play for 80 minutes in a much more broken up game and the big guys often don’t play for more than an hour. But the number of ex-players who made the same point made me realize I was wrong

     

     

    The game on Wednesday was tge most taxing game of football our players wil play at the most elite level. Our first 45 minutes was described as being the best football in the champions league all season.

     

     

    So I think it’s a bit ignorant to imagine they’d just turn up today and turn over a team who defended in numbers after having a week to prepare

    So we sold 1 player in the summer and we had one first team player out injured today and folk are complaining that only 2 of our summer signings were in the team today.

     

     

    This place gets more ridiculous by the hour.

     

     

    Just imagine if Celtic actually lost a league game. Jesus wept. Some folk really need to get some help.

    Good to see St Pauli grab 2 late goals to win 2-1 whilst city rivals Hamburg drew 3-3 today.

     

     

    St Pauli go top clear 2 points ahead of Hamburg and Düsseldorf. 2 go up automatically and 3rd team plays off and always loses to 3rd bottom in Bundesliga 1.

    What an Evening @ the Hydro on Thursday.

     

     

    First time seeing the Chemical Brothers, the Lightshow was Wow.

     

     

    I’ve never been 1 to get the phone oot to video things.

     

     

    I must have got it oot about 15 times, I got it oot once when Orbital played a few months ago.

     

     

    Hopefully the Saints come and have a go on Wednesday.

    Most teams who play on Wednesday don’t play until Sunday at the earliest. Feyenoord and Atletico play on Sunday, Lazio get until Monday

     

     

    Lazio play Wednesday, Monday Friday Tuesday

     

     

    We play Wednesday Saturday Wednesday Saturday Tuesday

     

     

    Atletico play Wednesday Sunday Friday Tuesday

     

     

    Feyenoord Wed Sunday Saturday Tuesday

     

     

    The only team to play on the Saturday after the Wed game, the only team to play 3 times between the fixtures

     

     

    16 teams played Wednesday 5 played today, 2 wins, 2 draws and a loss. Poor results for teams who qualified first ge champions league last season

    Awaking thru another flu to a disappointing result – but at least not a loss.

     

    As I didn’t see the game the only observation I can make is the blog correlation that emerges when our bhoys stumble.

     

    Ie, when we have a low energy performance, there’s a hi-energy glee shown by certain posters in the aftermath; the same monicker wans that say little when we’re going good.

     

    Or to put it another way, an equal correlation is that when we hit a sticky patch, it’s them that get all creamy.
