Brendan has stated the squad is too big but the likes of McCarthy doesn’t seem to want to leave. Maybe Siegrist won’t be allowed to go until we have a new keeper and maybe Kwon and Bernabei are determined to redeem their reputations and won’t go so soon.
My point was that Scales has upset all our calculations on who is needed and who is surplus. It doesn’t mean that everyone can do a Scales but the players might think they all have a chance.

Totally agree but you won’t find many who do.
Cal Mac says it was a good result. Serious expectation
Management. Two nil nil games against teams well in the lower half of the league are not good. If the manager is playing games it wouldn’t surprise me. I didn’t want him back and never said anything different.
Whenever we play we must be better than the low block. Last 15 minute’s yesterday the ball was flying around their box and Oh was never near it once. He’s not going to make it and a new striker almost gets bigger than keeper or left back. Not more midfielders or wingers.

No excuses for yesterday. This was not a good result against the team 9th in the league.
And to those saying we should not expect to win every game…why not? Especially if the team we are playing against are as poor as Hibs are.

now don’t be questioning yesterday’s display as you will be asked or told you are never a Celtic supporter.

remember Paul67 calliing folk on here ‘pantywetters’ during the transfer window when they reckoned we hadnt signed enough players in needed positions?
i could just picture him sniggering with his mates when he was writing it like wee weans who have just heard a rude word for the first time.
well we are now well into the season and we had a euro game on wednesday where we only made 3 subs even tho many of the players were gubbed, and yesterday we made no real starting changes and then brought on forrest and mikey to try get us a goal.
that says to me brendan doesnt trust most of the new players enough to start them or even bring them on when we need a winner
so we are heavily reliant on previous seasons players to keep us going but they cant be expected to do it all season.
thats says one thing to me –
the game is over – the pantywetters have won

I’m not 100% sold on our manager…Yesterdays substitutes baffled me, Turnbull and Forrest just don’t do it for me. They are obviously well liked by BR …regarding Iwata after Tynecastle he surely was entitled to expect his chance…
Remembering BRs first spell he was not at all convinced by Ryan Christie, but had no option to bring him on as a sub at Murrayfield, the rest was History. Similarly I believe BR was ready to off load Liam Scales until a crisis forced him to play him against Sevco at Ibrox. Again LS has proved to be a number first choice pick ….
As far as I’m so far concerned I’ll reserve judgement on BR’s second coming ..

SFTB,
After all our mental and physical tribulations on Wednesday night performing admirably against a team who are one of the favourites to win the CL we should not have required to start that same 11.
Our domestic opponents yesterday are nowhere near the standard of Atletico and that is an understatement.
If we cannot utilise our large squad and rotate the starting eleven under these circumstances, then when ?
We must have players who can step in and cover for any eventuality, the only way of achieving that is to give them game time from the start.
Put simply that will determine the cans from the cannots
Then and only then can we have a degree of confidence that substitutions do not equate to a loss of standard.
Better teams than Hibs will be acutely aware that if they contain Celtic for circa 65 mins in a high tempo game then we will be weaked when we inevitably make substitutions. They will plan accordingly.
We need to change that narrative.

Whatever team is picked for Wednesday expect more of the same from Robinson, if the wide player have been doubled up on we either need an overlap or someone breaking the lines from midfield not midfielders who get the ball turn and pass it back the way, take some risks otherwise you will get nothing.
