  1. Apologies for a bit of a diversion but I have some good news. My bhoy, Paul and his wife Amanda have a son, my 3rd Grandchild. James Anthony Baldie was born at 4.05am this morning, weighing in at a healthy 8lb 2oz. Everyone doing well. Rock a bye Sweet Baby James!! X

  2. Every time we get a loan player who shows a bit of form,the same stuff always comes up,sign him. £16 million,and £70 ,000,a week,does not deter people.Is it at all possible to bring some sense into it.Lenny quick to play it down,he knows the costs are beyond us.We have players ourselves,Mikey,Schved ,,.Let the loan players get the 9 for us,then we go again.With these guys,or with new ones.

  3. Even before Bolingoli was replaced this evening, got a feeling Greg Taylor got his debut on Wednesday with Lazio away next Thursday in mind, even though I think Bolingoli has been excellent I think Greg might be more defensively minded …

    We have a terrific squad and a terrific manager :-)

  4. Jobo 10.16pm

    Congratulations to all the family, hope Paul still managed to pick his top three players in his old mans wee “Celtic” player of the match initiative :-)

    All kidding aside terrific news 👍

  5. Congratulations to the Jobo family on the new arrival. Glad to hear that all concerned are in fine fettle.

  6. Jobo- congrats from a delighted Garngad -both cause of the result and your good news.

    I have 2 grandchildren and they are amazing, how can a wee person like a grandchild make you feel young.. Ffs it’s amazing.

    I have a mate (just poured him in next door- ferguslayedtheblues) from this parish who used to say to me I cannot wait to have grand weans… Ffs he has about 6 now..

    Anyhow God bless the Grandas😂😂😂

    Jobo Brilliant News, Congrats to all.

  8. D66.. get Ferguslayedtheblues to get back posting…even if it is just embarrassing stories about you lol

    H.H.

  9. TLT- ok, but I’m afraid I will get the raw end of this…

    But anyone who knows me will tell you I am up for a good laugh and a story from Celtic yesteryear.😂

  10. Huge welcome to Baby Jobo – James Anthony

    And congrats to Paul & Amanda, plus the proud grandparents

  11. Another semi final win for the current champions and holders of every trophy in Scotland … although I totally agree with the Res 12 bhoys Auldheid, Canalamar, BRTH & Morreisy23… when Celtic keep having brilliant days like today it’s a hard slog to keep normal fitba fans interested… I hope we don’t lose to the trading while insolvent cheats … but if Kent (£7m) or Defoe (£60k @ week) score the winner tomorrow why would Hearts fans not be outraged about the cheats ???

    Celtic might stand alone BUT they can never sort Scottish football on their own, I don’t trust any board but whether complicit or even looking after Celtic’s own interests (probably a fine line) when the team keeps winning I think around 90% of Celtic fans will stick with the status quo…

    Celtic winning is great… even better when Bobby Madden can’t influence the result … when he is in the position to try … stone wall penalty = cheat

    Some cracking posts from Auldheid & co on here, keep at it but maybe Celtic collecting trophies hinders your efforts :-)

  12. I’ve no idea if we can afford Elyounousie’s salary as I’ve no idea what it is.

    However what is known is that he is out of contract in May 2020, and available on a pre-contract agreement in January.

    I hope he keeps getting better.

  13. Terje, You are incorrect there, He only joined Southampton last year Summer of 2018 on a 5 year contract,

    There is no way in the World would they loan out a 16 million purchase if he was free to sign a pre contract in January.

  14. Terje Vigen 11.28pm

    I didn’t realise Elyounoussi was out of contract in the summer … that’s now maybe a wee carrot for him if he manages to pick up a medal or three (4) … who knows, but always good seeing him playing and enjoying playing :-)!

  15. Say the rumours are correct and Mohamed is on a mere £75k/week, a 3 year deal would cost a total of £11.7m (available free in May).

    If he then plays in seasons 2020-21 and 2021-22 that would cost circa £8m, and he could be sold at the age of 28, with one year left on his contract, for £Xm.

    This might be a great deal for all concerned (apart from Southampton).

  16. OK, I might have got too excited. I noticed his contract expires on 31/5/2020 on transfermrkt.

    Just realised that’s his contract with us.

    What I hate about CQN is the inability to delete your own keech.

  17. Terje Vigen 11.48pm

    :-)

    Am worse I believed he was a free agent … as for posting nonsense on CQN just move on to the next post .. works for me

  18. I’m sorry to report that Mo signed a five year deal in 2018. He was outstanding today, as were many others. First half performance from us today was outstanding. It felt like we had 10 players all wanting to score.

  19. There must be something in the water, just got a text fae ma big sis, her son, my nephew & best man at my wedding & godson who is the godfather of Miss GFTB has just became a dad for the very first time to a wee Bhoy in the last half hour …

  20. THE SPIRIT

    OF

    “THE NATION.”

    OURSELVES ALONE.

    I.

    The work that should to-day be wrought

    Defer not till to-morrow;

    The help that should within be sought,

    Scorn from without to borrow.

    Old maxims these—yet stout and true—

    They speak in trumpet tone,

    To do at once what is to do,

    And trust ourselves alone.

    II.

    Too long our Irish hearts we schooled,

    In patient hope to bide;

    By dreams of English justice fooled,

    And English tongues that lied.

    That hour of weak delusion’s past,

    The empty dream has flown:

    Our hope and strength, we find at last,

    Is in ourselves alone.

    III.

    Aye! bitter hate, or cold neglect,

    Or lukewarm love at best,

    Is all we’ve found, or can expect,

    We aliens of the west.

    No friend beyond her own green shore,

    Can Erin truly own;

    Yet stronger is her trust, therefore,

    In her brave sons alone.

    IV.

    Remember when our lot was worse—

    Sunk, trampled to the dust;

    ‘Twas long our weakness and our curse,

    In stranger aid to trust.

    And if, at length, we proudly trod

    On bigot laws o’erthrown,

    Who won that struggle? Under God,

    Ourselves—ourselves alone.

    V.

    Oh, let its memory be enshrined

    In Ireland’s heart for ever:

    It proves a banded people’s mind

    Must win in just endeavour;

    It shows how wicked to despair,

    How weak to idly groan—

    If ills at others’ hands ye bear,

    The cure is in your own.

    VI.

    The “foolish word impossible”

    At once, for aye disdain;

    No power can bar a people’s will

    A people’s right to gain.

    Be bold, united, firmly set,

    Nor flinch in word or tone—

    We’ll be a glorious nation yet,

    Redeemed—erect—alone.

  21. congrats to the addition to your clan…hope mother and bairn are well…
