  1. christie not only played three games for scotland – hje ran his heart out in every match. For Lennon to ignore alternatives for todays match shows how poor his man management is and how low his trust is in the bench.

We are a one dimensional team and manager who lack in professionalism (soft, lazy , fragile, lacking attitude – managers own words) .

We should have reacted after the Spartak youths embarrassed us – we didn’t and now we fall further behind.

BTW – Lennon is signing Taylor, duffy , barcas – he has to make do with what lawell and Hammond provide – the main reason BR left us!

rotten to the core – time for overhaul!

Losing Fraser Foster has really dented our confidence but at £90K @ week we were actually acquiring a talent last season that we couldn’t afford :-)

Maybe the players are getting as nervous as the punters/posters … I still think we will win trophies this season

Who knows … Neil wins more trophies than he loses … so I will stick by my man

  4. our back 4 today , a right back who is a winger , 2 central defender’s who are squad midfielders at best and a loan left back (our best player by far) who is a midfielder not a left back , we have spent millions to win the 10 , but we are still

    a shambles.

  5. Anyway just to round off a perfect afternoon Vale lost with the last kick of a 6 minutes injury time. This is after losing at home midweek and even worse losing 2 goals in injury time last week to turn a 3-2 lead to a 3-4 loss.

He’s already linked with United, PSG and Real. Unlike Brendan, his reputation doesn’t require a “boost”.

Alternatively, lose the ten and he could be back at Espanyol.

    We need to be realistic.

Thanks for the link, worked great it’s a pity Celtic were not.

The big problem and i have said before we don’t have any midfielders who can tackle.

If the coach is blaming the players it’s because the are at sixes and sevens, all over the place.

    That is coaching IMO

  8. GEebee – Believe it or not I am being realistic 😂 otherwise I would not have said it.

  10. The league not gona be won between now and xmas, but it could be lost as we will have too much to claw back.

The league is won in the farmers fields of jan, feb and march

Thats when our size of squad comes to the fore, with injuries and suspensions taking their toll

    BUT

We do need some fresh ideas, whether that is a coaching upgrade or new manager so we can take advantage of the jan – mar spell

Quickly, beofre we have to big a hill to climb

  11. To win the league from here we’d need to go on a tear to include winning the next two games v. Sevco. We have no momentum and – realistically – I see little grounds for optimism. Any managerial change would need to have been made sooner to try and re-energize our club. We are lacklustre and seemingly incapable of putting a winning run together.

I said at the start of the season that not winning the 10 from such a position of strength would be an an act of gross self sabotage. But a failure at executive, managerial , and player level is making the loss of the league a probability now.

Hopefully time will prove me wrong but my emotions tonight are anger and disappointment, that we are in this situation at all.

  12. RC I was saying to my socially distancing mates the same thing…2 centre backs that are midfielders.

    D :)

  13. I personally want a change in management now.But will it just be another yes man happy to be here or will it be a Martin or Brendan 🤔

It’s a football team, the 2 main components are coach and players. Sure the board can fuck things up but ultimately you are a success based on the coach and players.

I think most on here would agree that the squad is good enough the challenge for the league in Scotland.

So, that leaves one obvious problem

  18. Oh where to start?

Lenny is a legend but he clearly (repeatedly) isn’t getting the best out of his players. There is a lack of shape, tactics, energy and leadership on the park. For some of the players it just doesn’t seem to matter enough (e.g. Rogic, N’tcham). Add in that we have square pegs in round holes (Bitton and Frimpong) and it’s just a mess. Should Neil go, probably! Would it improve things on the pitch, maybe!

But! Our problems on the pitch in my view emanate from the board and the plc. They chose to appoint Neil and a cheap and inexperienced coaching team. They downsized from Brendan and consequently the level of professionalism that he introduced. They have been asleep at the wheel while the Huns have cheated their way back into contention untouched and unquestioned by our club and the authorities. They have been criminally negligent imho and Paul’s blog before the start of last season was a window into the arrogance and hubris that has led to this malaise. Talk of doing 9, 10, 15 or indeed as many as we wanted in a row was the stuff of Murray and his hun acolytes in the MSM – utterly shameful. Anyway you reap what you sow and given their desire for the OF brand, their willingness to turn a blind eye to blatant corruption and their lack of bottle to challenge injustice and unfair treatment of our club/fans then maybe the board are just getting what they deserve? The tragedy is that it’s us, the fans, who will pay the price as we actually CARE ABOUT THE TEAM while the board members will sail off in to the sunset with their dividends intact, wondering how their share portfolios are doing these days? Absolute feckin charlatans and a disgrace to Brother Walfrid’s memory. There should be no hiding place for them if we lose the 10 (as it is theirs to lose) but Lenny is a true Celt and will always be able to hold his head up high among us. I just hope for his sake that it doesn’t end with him at the wheel of a 10 in a row car crash which, let’s be honest, is looking increasingly likely.

  19. lets all do the huddle on

i would have hope of us salvaging the league if we had been playing ok but a few things have went against us that could easily turn or be fixed

but the fact is we have been shit since the start of the season

    the defence cant defend

the midfield dont help the defence at all nor do they provide any creativity going forward

and we have nothing up front

and the manager doesnt do anything either

    thats a lot of problems

    in context they are

but i couldnt imagine that if he got announced as manager that we would be crying into our beer because he hadnt won anything

it would be a brilliant coup

    Yes I agree

My point is who appoints the coach and sanctions the purchase of most of the players?

    That’s the main problem

Ok PL can outspend the rest of the league and mostly that will be enough to win most trophies

My ambition for Celtic is bigger than winning the SPL but not convinced PL has any ambition other than to get lucky once or twice in a decade in CL

  23. DAVID66 on 21ST NOVEMBER 2020 6:12 PM

Well, I admire your confidence. I don’t think a manager who is being linked with two of the world’s biggest clubs will be coming to the SPFL any time soon.

  24. we need a whole new structure at the end of the season – this is likely to happen as Lawell and possible Desmond will leave.

In the meantime, we need someone who will get the best out of these players and team formations. THAT IS ALL IT TAKES as we have the quality.

    Strachan and Brown?

    Keane and Brown

Dunno – but men who know what the 10 means and will not go down without an almighty fight!

The FACTS are – this entire season , the team (players and staff) have shown all the signs of a losing mentality. EVEN WORSE , the manager just told us today – lazy, attitude, fragile, soft, shape blah blah poor me blah!!

I’m fed up with it – time for a reaction and show the fans and the players we mens business THIS SEASON!!

  25. Football is a lot more nuanced than simply looking at who “won stuff”.

Di Matteo won the Champions League and no club will touch him with a bargepole. Pochettino has won nothing and is being linked with Real, PSG and Manchester United.

What had Lennon, Strachan or Rodgers “won” before coming to Celtic?

  27. Go tell the Spartim on

    Has he left yet ?

Just what is it gonna take.

Lenny needed to win every game between yesterday and by the time we play them next

    He’s fallen at first hurdle

If we get beaten on Thursday could you let me know your excuses before then, just use the Rolodex of excuses that’s been used so far, as to why we should keep him. Are we banking of beating a piss poor hearts who beat hibs to buy time.
