In a surprise announcement, Acting CEO of Celtic, Michael Nicholson, has stated that negotiations for Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate, and Yosuke Ideguchi have been terminated, on the grounds that:
A: They are not necessary to win trophies, and
B: Their acquisition may prejudice our business partners from direct entry to next season’s Champions League Group Stage and hasten their dissolution, which would not be in the best interests of Celtic Football Club, and
C: the Club is in safe hands.
Nicholson further stated that rumours that Peter Lawwell and Chairman Bankier drafted the statement are “Scurrilous and entirely without foundation.”

Re the hamstring injuries- they are more common in freezing temps and that’s when they started. Takes acclimatisation for players to adjust.
Took 2 years for my blood to thicken after a year in Melbourne many moons ago, was freezing back here again. Jota, Kyogo(only freezes in Japan’s rural mountain areas). Makes sense you do ‘warm up’ before excercise.
Btw don’t mess with Greek Aussies -only 1 winner 😉

What was striking was how much better technically we were than Hibs. You’d expect anxiety to play a part in a final but we constantly played passes to feet, even when the receiver had someone close. A couple of times CCV had the ball near the corner flag and instead of blootering it forward he dinked a pass onto juras chest. To do that in a final shows the confidence the players have in they own and their team mates abilities and in the system. Winning trophies is what footballers play for, having a manager who can deliver that will make them totally buy into his methods

Greg Taylor, who I’ve often given a hard time to in the past, played very well.
Celtic won.
Not great from Carl or Mikey ….
But we win and lose as a team …
… and Celtic won.
Personally I have no beef with Ally McCoist.
Clearly a biased blue nose but absolutely does not try to market himself as a neutral.
And can be quite magnanimous, particularly about strikers.
Not so, Michael Stewart.
Showed promise in his early media career.
Appeared bold, reasonably objective and quite well spoken.
Veneer has slipped badly over time. Clearly just a shade less dumb than the standard moron set in the SMSM.
Craigan? Offers nothing. A dinosaur. No insight, intelligence or persuasion.
Starfelt was part of a cup winning side. If Ange thinks he’s good enough then that’s good enough for me.
Hail hail!

Well done Ange and all the team. Some on here need to get a grip and lay off Carl Starfelt sure he makes mistakes and they mainly come on his left side, he is a right footed defender and that is it. Enjoy what we have don’t read the crap in media its no worth getting upset, we won the cup with two magic goals and we roll on to Wednesday night.

Nice to hear the fans in full voice once again. And the choir have at last got round to learning more of the lyrics to A Prisoner’s Christmas.

And now back to the real business.
Also, good to see some starting to see Michael Stewart for what he is. He’s been getting a free ride till now. Can’t imagine why.

How funny was it listening to the desperation in the voice of Craigan when Hibs had their penalty appeal dismissed ( remarkably) from Beaton.
He was so desperate for it to be rewarded he sounded like a fan shouting at the TV.
Complete and utter joker!!!
Also hysterical reading the comments about Roddy Forsyth and his complete and utter dismay when we score.
I hope the two of them are gutted tonight.

The most pleasing aspect about this team is the winning mentality. Its not always pretty and certainly not the finished article. Ange has worked wonders in 6 months. On the pitch and in the dressing room Cal is the driving force.
Regards todays game, i thought we dominated the first half but lacked cutting edge in the wide areas when the central areas were congested. In the second half we lost too many duels in the centre of defence which invited pressure. Both of our goals were of the highest order, Kyogos first touch for the equaliser was world class and the second goal was of the same ilk. If you watch the second goal closely, you will notice the linesman didn’t even see if Kyogo was on or offside because his movement was so sharp. We saw it out just about and we’ve now posted the first marker of an important season.
