I hate the fact that the coverage of the match and the biased comments of their commentators can leave us with any negatvity on a Cup Final win. Therfore, may they stew in the juices of their very own average careers. May they watch Kyogo score goals of the highest calibre. May they see all our players improving. May they keep screaming into the dark for decisions. May they keep taking the party line on their channel. May they keep selling their souls.
May we enjoy this victory like all the others and remember that they dont matter. We won again. We will again. And again and again and again…… and Cr#$%an and Ste@#$t can keep trying. Goodnight fellow Celtic people. God Bless. It will without doubt be sweet dreams!!

King Kyogo clinches the cup with 2 goals that KoK would have been proud of. Well done Ange & all the Bhoys.
An extra extract from the BBC match report: “The bigger picture is the boost this could do for this newly put-together Celtic team. Only three of the side who clinched a fourth straight treble against Hearts almost exactly a year ago were in the XI at Hampden. It is not the same group who dominated Scottish football for a decade.”
Hail Hail

Saviour the silver, analysis can wait until later. Can imagine CQN at 10pm on 25/5/67: yeah, great to be European Champions but what about Jim Craig giving away that pen.

Don’t get me wrong Corky – I am absolutely over the moon over today, and the manner in which we won. I am especially delighted for Kyogo, Ange, Callum, Ralston, Hart and a few others. Shoving it down the throats of Craigan and company is also a huge bonus.
But always at the back of my mind, and it is probably due to being supportive of Res 12 since its genesis, is that we win, not because of our Board, but despite our Board. Yes, they like us to win, but they did not seem too troubled about us not winning last season, and openly couldn’t care a fig about our early ousters from the Champions League.
I’m having a wee celebratory snifter right now. Hope you are too.
Hot smoked thanks for the reply. I have a little fun with my moniker….. The Derby Inn Mossend was the reason for the name back in the day hence Stephenofderby. I lurk here all the time. Allowing for the stuff that gets a bit mad at times its still a magical site. Ive sat here blinded by tears at some of the contributions and had to look up big words for others. I believe in the Celtic family. Were all the same but different? Love a wee emotional cup final night. And no im not a hun in case anybody thinks im a new bhoy😉

Good day for Celtic – OK we’re far from the ‘finished article’, but we”re winners again – that is important. We have something to work with and build on. The squad is beginning to have a bit of shape to it and we will add in January.
Hart, Rogic, Kyogo, CCV & Taylor were big players for me. I was hoping that Johnston would have scored from one of his runs in from the left – he needs a confidence boost right now.
Another injury – injuries worry me – seems we get two each game – Turnbull & Taylor today, two we can ill afford to lose.

A marvellous day to be a Tim (but then that’s every day)! There are shades of Wim and Henrik about Ange and Kyogo….a left-field managerial appointment bringing in his little known talisman to sparkling effect. And if Kyogo can bring us half the joy that Henke brought us then I’ll be chuffed…as I will be if Ange hangs about for much longer than Wim did too

At my age you would think that I had seen enough great Celtic days to accept today’s victory as just another one in a long line of good days as a Celt. But what I enjoyed most of all was the delight on Kyogo’s face at each goal and his joy at the end of the match was something to enjoy. He real is a joy. I hope we can keep him for years to come which we managed to do in the case of the great Henrik. Wonderful to have lived long enough to witness those two great players.

The staff member boxed everything up and said, “ Christmas is expensive, eh?” The big lad came back with, “Ach, if it wisnae fir the wains, we widnae bother!”

For me, what is hugely different this year is the togetherness of all the players when a goal is scored.
Remember last season when Eddie and Christie couldn’t be arsed congratulating scorers, particularly Griffiths? Very telling indicator of team morale.
Monies will also be allocated to other devolved administrations in Wales & Northern Ireland. There is no English devolved administration, therefore there is no need to allocate. Money for similar expenditure in England is added to a particular department expenditure.
Another spurious poke at the UK.
Without the UK, Scotland is, in these troubled times, as it was in the 2008 global financial meltdown, de-facto bankrupt. The SNP know this and that’s why their ‘demand’ for full fiscal autonomy was quietly dropped – their ‘string the sheep along” Indyref is being avoided, and independence will not happen in the next twenty-five years, if ever.
If there was even a skeleton coherent economic plan for independence the SNPcult would be shouting it from the rooftops & plastering it on every billboard it could rent.
Staying in power at Holyrood and enjoying the junket high-life in London whilst treating Westminster with contempt is their short, medium & long-term strategy.
