  1. Had banana skin written all over it and that’s how it transpired. I haven’t read back, all things considered I hope we’re all sensible enough to cut the players some slack. The ones that played in Munich that is…I hope never to see Taylor start a game for Celtic again. Schlupp every time please, Brendan.

The VAR decision is a guess – a hopeful guess from our friend Muir. I see Brendan has name checked him in his post match comments. The man is a cheat. And as poor as we were in that first half, Alan Muir has cost us today. We move on.

  2. The ball wasnt clearly over the line VAR alan Muir guessed or showed bias or whatever it was linesman call he didnt flag what picture from Muir shows the ball out, the camera is on the 18yd line.

checks league table, 13 points ahead with thems having 12 games to play.

do you think we will lose the league ?

    —————————————————————

No. Nor did I say anywhere that we would lose the league.

I said we had to earn each 3 pts in every game we play and we cannot afford to play like today for the rest of the season and expect to stroll the league.

Do you disagree with that viewpoint?

    Prolific fearty alert.

What a pitiful way to live your life.

In perma-fear of the blue bogey man …

    … irrespective of the evidence.

  5. St Stivs

Adam not a good player and way overpriced. Brendan got that one wrong and he is loth to admit it-

    9 Million? No chance.

Brendan should IMO have played his strongest team from the start.

Greg obliges Trusty to move left to cover his weaknesses and that splits the CHs.

Much better when we play Schlupp at LB, allowing the CHs to stay solid

So, some poor selection issues today.

  6. Didn’t see game but there is no way a camera angle other than one directly on the line will be conclusive. I can’t believe anyone could override a decision with a camera located on 18 yard line if that’s what was used.

  7. The only way our goal could be ruled out is if there was a camera angle along the bye line any other camera angle the goal must stand, as BR all guess work

  8. Gerrybhoy – The players are not robots. No way Brendan was going to start the same 11 who played in Munich. They put a hell of a shift in over there. Granted the players who came in let us down today, but the blame for that does not lie with BR’s team selection.

  9. BBC Scotland match summary reports that the tv pictures were inconclusive, but of course doesn’t then go on to say that the onfield decision should not have been overturned as VAR is there to correct clear and obvious errors not guess

  10. It has been thought by many and said by some that I am full of ship!

I said and thought that we were better without kyogo and today has shown that that was a crock of ship.

how many crosses went into the penalty spot and there was nobodaddy there to finish it aff!

  11. Kelvin

That’s what used according to Dods,VAR has cost us a point Muir should be sacked for this decision it’s bias and prejudice in action, Celtic should be on the phone to Collum right now demanding to see Muir’s picture because the linesman in line did not give it.

Was worried we’d be a bit spent today after giving everything on Tuesday. No excuses for the 3 that came in and were subbed though. All were close to rotten today despite all being players I like a lot.

Taylor and Trusty in the first half were woeful. They lost the game for us. Lost goals at bad times too. Inexcusable to lose one 10 seconds before half time, but Trusty played the scorer on. Really poor defending. The first one Taylor was AWOL and did his usual of looking round for someone to blame and realised it was himself. I fear his head’s gone given his contractual position.

Let’s lick our wounds and move on.

How long did Idah play in Munich and what did he achieve?

His “positioning” in the first game annuled Kühn’s early goal too.

He seems not to be able to stay onside when it really matters.

    Not a starter for me.

  14. Big Jimmy, looking like it was over the line? Isn’t enough for VAR to overturn an on field decision of goal, Johnstons foot was over the line, no conclusive proof the whole ball was over the line. For all the moaners on here, the league is won, a wee hiccup today, we had an off day but deserved a draw. Hibs played well, and have gone 13 games undefeated, well done to David Gray, he survived the dreaded vote of confidence and could finish 3rd if Hibs keep playing like they did today.

Cheers, just saw BR interview. He is all over it so hope we challenge this for a full explanation of what was seen to change onfield decision

  16. Muir should now be dropped from the roster. There’s no point Willie Collum apologising next week if there is no consequences for the official.

  17. the long wait is over on

    Interesting your comment re Taylor

One of our best players this past 4 seasons.

  19. Dessybhoy

He has more than earned credit.

As for how he has been treated by some sad folks who have never done much in their own pathetic wee worlds well that’s a different matter.

I sit amongst such sad wee folk desperate to abuse someone for makings mistake. Psychologist would have a field day.

  20. Burnley

What’s interesting about hoping to see our best left back start every game from here in ? We’ve a treble to win. I understand resting Schlupp today, I get that. Hopefully now that we’ll be down one game a week, let’s start Schlupp. He’s clearly a class above Taylor. Good luck to Greg.

  21. We were outplayed first half, credit Hibs.

The looked out in real time and from the best of two angles available (I understand the rule).

Once we are back to weekly games, we will win the league comfortably – no need for panic. Of course I agree better VAR angles would help but few clubs can afford it, that’s our reality.

On the bright side – hun sent off in iPod – onwards Celtic.

  22. I really hope our manager speaks up and does not let this one rest. He did last season and hopefully will again.
