Two former referees say Celtic full-back Colby Donovan should have been sent off for a challenge on Obita in the visitors’ 2-1 win at Easter Road. (The Ref’s View via Record, external)
I missed the first 20 minutes of the game yeaerday, what happened for these 2 icons of refereeing to state that Colby shoud have seen red? I assume they also missed the kick to the head on Engels and the head butt on Yang?
Hard luck to everyone else who had paid to see a game of football.

Great weekend for obvious reasons
Martin O’Neill has lifted a team struggling to connect, to a team full of confidence
I wonder how much of that resurgence is due to “harmony” between Football Department and Board
Do players feel the strain of internal disputes?
I think they do and I believe Martins brilliant diplomatic skills (as well as his football skill) has bridged that gap
But another dilemma approaches
When Monsieur Nancy (let’s all assume it is just paperwork) arrives – with his backroom team
(Remember Paul67 applauding that we have a clean slate in the Backroom department)
What becomes of the team that has supported Martin and got as back playing winning football
Shaun Maloney, Gavin Strachan, Mark Fotherington there is also 2 or 3 others
I believe their positions are “Interim”
I hope their loyalty (I know not a great word) is not ignored and the work Martin has done to bring football and Board onto the same page is not undone with a cull
And FWIW if it is to be Nancy there is no stage managing Martins departure and his arrival
If he is the man get him in position as soon as we can
IMHO Martin was a legend before he came back now he is a Saint

I don’t agree with much when you post late at night but I do agree we should allow the new crew the time they need to assimilate pre window etc.
Allow Martin and the group to continue until need expires.

If I was the new manager coming in I would do the following.
Watch every game played by Celtic this season.
Have a trusted lieutenant attending in person all of Celtics recent matches.
Simple but essential.

Barclay’s Hampden. WTF?

Saw big KI doing a number of 50 yards sprints behind the managers being interviewed after the game. He must be close to getting a run out for the 29 minutes or so against Dundee, to give Daizen a rest.

I wonder what team most of these people support:

Given his previous output Mark Daly probably wouldn’t be welcomed in places like Falkirk even if he was making a documentary about the Kelpies.

Good morning CQN.
Another fine day to be a Celt.
Don’t forget your umbrella today.
Outlook for Wednesday looks promising …
… and the weather not too bad as well.
I’ll get my coat (really)
Ajax Ultras managed to get their game called off while they played with their fireworks. This was in memory of one of their own who had passed away.
